Topic: The Wind Of Rain Shall Blow
Text: Psalm 147:18, 1st Kings 18:41-45
Everyone should understand that sometimes before great rain will fall, the wind will blow and the wind will attract dust and check the trees of the field. Some will think that because of the heavy wind, something terrible will happen and they will begin to have fear( Matthew 8: 24-26). Maybe the wind that will usher in the rain of blessings is blowing now and you are having fear or panicking, there is nothing to worry about (Matthew 14:30). Maybe your faith is failing you now because of fear but remember it is the wind that ushers in the rain of blessings and it must fall.
SUBHEADINGS:
1: THE REASONS AND THE CERTAINTY OF RAIN
When we are passing through problems of this life, we should never think that it is the worse situation, or it is the end of our life, or that we cannot survive that condition. It is the wind that is blowing for your good. Without that wind, you will not be what God wants you to be. It is training your faith and preparing you for the rainy days. Remember afflictions or troubles of this world will make us look up to the Lord and He will answer us and the rain of blessings will come( Isaiah 45:22)( Isaiah 50:15)(Matthew 8:24). So from today, it shall be “from the wind, to the rain of blessings. ” (1st Kings 18:45)
2: GOD'S INTERVENTION AND THE BENEFITS.
No matter the problem or trouble you are going through or the greatness of that problem, you should never think that it has no solution or that it is bigger than God. You should not be afraid or wish to die. It is just a wind! You should never think that that problem will follow you forever but consider it as a wind( Psalm 34:6)(Psalm 40: 1-3). No wonder in time past, the people called upon the Lord and He answered them and helped them (Matthew 14:27-30)(Matthew 14:31).
So look away from that wind that is blowing now, the Lord will intervene and the rain of blessings will flow (Psalm 147:18)( Ezekiel 34: 25-26)(1st Kings 18: 45).
Now, you have to call upon the Lord and the rain of blessings will come(Matthew 7:7). And make sure that nothing is standing between you and God and repent from your sins and ask for mercy and the rain of blessings will come upon you today.
For Sinners and Backsliders, confess your sins and accept Jesus Christ today as your Lord and personal Saviour (Romans 3:23)( 1 John 3: 8 & 9)( 1 John 5: 17a)(Isaiah 59: 1).
Sin is dangerous. It is destructive and yet almost the whole world has gone into sin.
Unbelief is sin. Selfishness is sin; Covetousness is sin, Insincerity is sin; backbiting, murmuring, speaking evil of others, these are terrible sin.
Going to native doctors, stealing from Government, stealing from companies and individuals, that is sin.
If you are among those people that are involved in fornication, adultery, homosexuality, lesbianism, abortion; that is terrible wickedness.
Fighting and quarreling, smoking and drunkenness; all these are evil. Ask for the mercy of God.
Are you into polygamous marriage or you have sent away your wife or you moved away from your husband? that is sin.
Are you a woman dressing like a man or a man dressing like a woman, all that is sin.
The unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
