Topic: The Father's Will 

Text: John 6:35-39, Matthew 17:17, Rev 22:17.

 

      

    We all should endeavor to know the father's will and go on to do them so that we can prosper in this life and make Heaven at last (John 8:29).

 Our Master and Lord Jesus Christ knew the father's will and  He did them and He was prosperous in all things while He was here on His earthly ministry because He did the father's will and the Father was always with Him( Matthew 11:27-28).We should know and do them so that we can prosper and have all things as our Master Jesus Christ( Hebrews 10: 27)(Luke 2:49).

 The problem of many believers is that they are outside the will of God, outside the will of the father and at the same time, they want to prosperous in their endeavors. It is not possible. If you want to prosper in every area of your life, then you must know and do the father's will(Matthew 6:33).

 POINT 1: THE REASONS AND THE WILL OF GOD EXPLAINED

        

      Many believers as a result of the lack of knowledge of the will of God are not prosperous and such people are struggling, complaining, murmuring and having nothing to show for their faith even as believers. 

 There is nothing you can achieve outside the will of God and that is why so many people are poor spiritually and otherwise because they are living their lives in isolation from the will of God(John 15:4-5).  If you want to be prosperous, you must be properly fitted in Him, abide in Him and His will and live your life in righteousness( John 13:17). 

So when one is outside His perfect will, He or she suffers because God will not be there to help such person. Everyone that wants to prosper must know God's will and go ahead to do them. When we do His will, He will be with us always and make us to prosper( John 8:29)(2nd Chronicles 15:1-4) 

Those who did His will in time past were prosperous (2nd Chronicles 26: 4-5). It is only God that make someone prosperous( John 4: 30-34). So what is His will? (John 6: 35-38). So we all should do His will in righteousness( 1st Peter 1:15).

 As a child of God, the first thing is to maintain righteousness( Psalm 92: 12-15). When you're righteous, you will flourish and righteousness also demands that you do the will of God and bring souls into the kingdom. 

We all should go out for soul winning and evangelism and bring souls to Him (Matthew 4: 19)(Matthew 4:23, 25)(Matthew 9:35)( Luke 19:10). The Father's will is for every soul to be saved and as a child of God, we must abide in the will of God(Acts 10:38).

 We should follow the steps of Christ( 2nd Timothy 4:5)(1st Corinthians 11:1). We must do the Father's will, we must live right and win souls( 2nd Peter 3:9)(1st Timothy 2:3-4). And it is the wish of the father that all souls should come to Him(Ezekiel 18:4). Everyone of us from henceforth must do the perfect will of God.

POINT 2: OUR EXPECTED RESPONSE AND THE BENEFITS.

        

   Everyone should know that this is the perfect will of God that all souls should be saved; being that He created us and wants us to be with Him and worship Him forever because the devil stole us away(Revelations 4:11). God created us for His pleasure and wants all souls to be saved (John 3:16)( Romans 5:8)(Romans 6:23). 

God wants all to be saved so He sent His son! So let us follow Him to do the will of God in seeking to save the lost. Jesus Christ gave himself totally to the will of God and prospered, even at a young age, He knew the father's will( Luke 2:45-49). 

So wherever you are, seek for the lost, win souls, maintain righteousness and preach the word. This is the father's will. Anywhere you are, start the fellowship now before the rapture takes place. There is no more time. Let's take advantage of the grace we have now and preach in season and out of season. Jesus did the same(John 8: 29)( Mathew 11:27).  

We should ensure that we do it with all our hearts and in righteousness and the Lord will make you to prosper(John 4: 34-35). 

Wherever you are, make sure you are an ambassador for Christ and do our Father's will.

For Sinners and Backsliders, confess your sins and accept Jesus Christ today as your Lord and personal Saviour (Romans 3:23)( 1 John 3: 8 & 9)( 1 John 5: 17a)(Isaiah 59: 1).

Sin is dangerous. It is destructive and yet almost the whole world has gone into sin.

Unbelief is sin. Selfishness is sin; Covetousness is sin, Insincerity is sin; backbiting, murmuring, speaking evil of others, these are terrible sin.

Going to native doctors, stealing from Government, stealing from companies and individuals, that is sin.

If you are among those people that are involved in fornication, adultery, homosexuality, lesbianism, abortion; that is terrible wickedness.

Fighting and quarreling, smoking and drunkenness; all these are evil. Ask for the mercy of God. 

Are you into polygamous marriage or you have sent away your wife or you moved away from your husband? that is sin. 

Are you a woman dressing like a man or a man dressing like a woman, all that is sin.

The unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
