A. THE REASONS
Our Lord Jesus Christ saw these errors in the lives of his own people that were his audience in the days of his earthly ministry.
When they brought to him the names of those that were killed by Pilate because of their sins; The Lord Jesus Christ recognised that the people that brought the report were equally guilty and victims of same sin that resulted in the death of the Galileans.
Luke 13: 1
They brought a report of those who Pilate killed and of those upon whom the tower of Siloam fell and considered that it was because of their sins.
Our Lord Jesus Christ did not refute their allegations. Jesus Christ knew that those that were reporting were guilty of the same sin.
As sinners who are subject to the same fate, except they repent they will like wise perish.
Our Lord Jesus Christ warned them that they shall become victims of the same fate.
You may be a self appointed judge, you may be a hypocrite and yet you are condemning others. Except you repent you will likewise perish.
The Lord has brought this message for all of you that are judging people and finding fault. Your judging and condemnation of others will not save you. Your self righteousness will not save you.
Matthew 7: 1
You that are judging others, if you refuse to repent while you are judging others, you will suffer the same fate.

The Lord called them by their names. He called them serpents and vipers.
Are you amongst them whom the Lord called Serpents and Vipers, that is not a good name.
