Topic: Power Over Them

Text: Psalm 62 vs 11, Luke 10 vs 19

       

As problems abound in this life so also are those who are architects over them. Some of them claim to have power; either power of Satan, demons, money, riches and all that. But whichever power they have or are displaying, there is a higher power above them which is power of God. Wherever you are, you will have power over them. The power to overcome them will come over you and they will be under your feet (Luke 10 vs 19).

Don't be afraid of them, they cannot kill you  (Deuteronomy 1 vs 29-30). As He fought for them in the days of old, He will fight for you. He has the overall power. He is an embodiment of power. Don't be afraid of them no matter who they are or how many they are, God will give you victory over them  (Joshua 1 vs 5) (Jeremiah 1 vs 18).

1. THE NEED FOR THIS POWER AND EXAMPLES OF THOSE WHO RECEIVED IT IN TIME PAST

   

 Many people without this power have been disgraced, displaced or destroyed even though they have a high place in the society. No matter your status, if you don't have the power of God, you are incapable of doing anything. Are you among them that are wallowing about without having the superior power which is the power of the Almighty God?( Psalm 62 vs 11). It is the power that belongs to God not the power of diseases or human agents ( Matthew 28 vs 18).

He is the Almighty. He has the overall power (Hebrews 2 vs 15)(Romans 8 vs 31)( John 15 vs 5) .

When you are in lack of God's power, you may be looking for witchcraft power or devilish power and will end up being a slave to Satan or remain in bondage.( Hosea 4 vs 6) ( John 8 vs 32) .You shouldn't be afraid of devil or Satan or the power they possess. Their power is little and not the superior power (Daniel 11 vs 32). Don't be afraid, if you have fear, you will become a slave to Satan.

You need to know your God and His power(John 13 vs 17). Knowledge goes with happiness especially the knowledge that God has the superior power (Luke 10:19, 1 John 5:4). From the Book of Genesis to Revelation, examples abound of those who received the power and manifested signs and wonders. Moses, Joshua as well as Elijah all manifested the power of God and did  great exploits. Jesus also manifested the great power of God as well as the apostles and those who believed in Him.

By the grace of God, we also have the great power and with this power, you shall have victory.

 2. WAYS OF RECEIVING THIS POWER AND THE BENEFITS

   

  Everyone should understand that everything on this earth has a source. (Revelations 22:13) So all those who are living with borrowed and counterfeit power are wasting their time. Any man that doesn't have the power from God but claim to have power are thieves ( John 10:1-3, 7-9).

The only true way is Jesus Christ. If you are not operating through Him and if your power is not from Him, then it is a counterfeit power and it shall fail because it has no foundation. (John 14:6, Matthew 2818, Psalm 62;11, Rev 2213) .

Where is the source of your power?

 If it is not in Jesus, then it is not from God. Anyone who needs this power of God, must be born again with genuine salvation (John 1:12).

As a child of God, you have the inheritance of God and you have all power over them( Luke 15:31,1 Corinthians 3 vs 21) .

Are you a child of God? You have power over them. With this power, you can cure coronavirus, you can use all manners of diseases and sicknesses. You can bind and loose (Matthew 4:23-24, Matthew 10:7).

You have power and you must use the power today( John 14:12).

So don't be afraid, wherever you are, stand on your power and defeat demons and diseases (John 1:12, Acts 1: 8).

No matter the power, whether human and spirit and no matter the power they possess, with these power, you will overcome them.

 As long as you remain in Christ, you shall remain victorious. We have power over them so therefore don't be afraid( Exodus 14:13-14). Go and exercise the power.

Believers you have the power so go and use it and do exploits.

   

For Sinners and Backsliders, confess your sins and accept Jesus Christ today as your Lord and personal Saviour.

Romans 3:23; 1 John 3: 8 & 9; 1 John 5: 17a; Isaiah 59: 1.

Sin is dangerous. It is destructive and yet almost the whole world has gone into sin.

Unbelieve is sin. Selfishness is sin; Covetousness is sin, Insincerity is sin; backbiting, murmuring, speaking evil of others, these are terrible sin.

Going to native doctors, stealing from Government, stealing from companies and individuals, that is sin.

If you are among those people that are involved in fornication, adultery, homosexuality, lesbianism, abortion, that is terrible wickedness.

Fighting and quarreling, smoking and drunkenness all these are evil. Ask for the mercy of God. Are you into polygamous marriage or you have sent away your wife or you moved away from your husband, that is sin. Are you a woman dressing like a man or a man dressing like a woman, all that is sin.

The unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
