THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL…THEME: LAZARUS! COME FORTH!
THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL…
DATE: Friday November 3rd, 2017.
TEXT: Ezekiel 37
THEME: LAZARUS! COME FORTH!
MEMORISE: And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. (John 11:43)
MESSAGE:
Lazarus had died and was buried for four days. When Jesus arrived, those He met on ground narrated the history of Lazarus sickness, death and burial. But Jesus assured them that he was not dead, but asleep. They were taken aback by Jesus' response. Just then, He asked them to take Him to the tomb where he was buried.
They even argued that by that time, he would have decomposed and possibly smelling. Reluctantly, they obliged Him and Jesus raised a loud voice in prayer and called out Lazarus to come forth. The bible records that he that was dead came back to life.
Our bane as believers has always been our inability to learn the inherent lessons from the word of God. The word of God makes us to understand that there is no situation that can stand Jesus anointing.
This is the message in what Jesus Christ did in the case of Lazarus. Not even the rottenness of Lazarus' body could hinder the anointing power of God from bringing him back to life. Have you considered the deadness/rottenness of your situation and concluded that it is all over.
You are getting it all wrong. It is not yet over for you. The power that brought Lazarus back to life is still in full force and whatever has died in your life is poised to bounce back to life. What is it that has died in your life? Notify Jesus concerning it through prayer. In fact, He is on His way to that grave/tomb where your destiny has been buried and will bring you forth.
Worship/praise God and then take the following prayer points:
1. Anything that has died in my life; by the power in the name of Jesus, come back to life, in Jesus' name.
2. Whatever the enemy has stolen from my life; I command restoration, in Jesus' name.
3. Any gift/potential lying fallow or under-utilized in my life; receive nourishment from above, in Jesus' name.
4. May God refill, nourish and renew His anointing upon our G. O and our Mummy in the Lord, in Jesus' name.
