THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL...

TEXT: Psalm 136:1-26
THEME: GOD IS GOOD!
MEMORIZE: "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. (Jeremiah 29:11)
MESSAGE:
The text outlines a litany of God's wonders. From creation till the present day, God's goodness is visible and has not changed. During the journey to the Promise Land, Moses challenged God saying, "I beseech thee, show me thy glory." Our God did allow Moses to see a glimpse of His glory and made His attributes known to Moses. When God's anger was. kindled against the Israelites, Moses reminded Him about His goodness and covenant, which settled the case.
As a child of God, you have a Father who is good above every other; no one can be compared to Him. He loves man so much, and wouldn't want man to perish. That's the reason Jesus came to die on the cross to reconcile us back to the Father. He is the only good God; the creator of the universe. There is no impossibility with Him. Whatsoever He says, will definitely come to pass; no being can withstand him. He is abundant in mercy, but yet a consuming fire.
Whatsoever you are passing through today as a child of God, you have a Father that can never fail. Call upon Him today and you will see His goodness in your life. In whatever area you are expecting His goodness, He will intervene. Are you passing through pain, ill health, poverty, delays, barrenness or you lack the filling of His spirit? Jacob wrestled with the angel until he was blessed. You too can lay hold on Him based on His word saying, "Lord, I will never let you go unless I see you goodness in my life." You need the evidence of God's goodness in your life so that others will know that the Lord is good.
Worship/praise God and then take the following prayer points:
1. O Lord, I beseech thee, let your goodness be made manifest in my life, in Jesus' name.
2. Everything that is not working well in my life, I command you to receive power to work well again, in Jesus' name.
3. Any program and plan of the devil to truncate God's goodness upon my life; backfire, in Jesus' name.
4. I command the glory of God to continue to radiate upon our G. O, our Mummy in the Lord, their family and The Lord's Chosen ministry, in Jesus' name.
