TUESDAY REVIVAL HOUR MESSAGE – 15/03/2016
TEXT:
1 Chronicles 11:16-18, 28:8; 1 Corinthians 16:9; Joshua 1:2-3
TOPIC: THE MONTH OF BREAKTHROUGH AND POSSESS (Part 3)
MESSAGE:
Through the previous messages, we have
seen how the people of Israel, Moses and Abraham got their breakthrough through
the principles of separation, faith and confession. I believe that many of us
will apply these principles to breakthrough and possession. In this message
today, we shall see how the Israelites overcame the hurdle of River Jordan.
For better understanding of
this message, we shall consider the following sub-sections:
(Deuteronomy 9:1-3; 1 Chronicles 28:8). During the journey to the promised land, there was a barrier for them to overcome although they had passed through every hurdle and it was the River Jordan. Even though they had to cross over, that season was when the Jordan River flowed beyond it banks thereby making it difficult to cross. (Deuteronomy 9:1). The blessings of the Israelites were beyond Jordan. (Joshua 3:15; Deuteronomy 9:1-3; Jeremiah 32:27; Isaiah 43:13). With the awareness that their possession was beyond Jordan, they had to cross Jordan and Joshua instructed them to sanctify themselves, avoid familiarity and be watchful (Joshua 3:1-5). As they kept to these instructions, God helped them to cross the River Jordan (Joshua 3:14-17).
2. OUR APPLICATION AND
BENEFITS
(1 Chronicles 28:8; Joshua 3:5; Deuteronomy 10:12-13; 28:1). So, anyone who wants to have breakthrough and possess his/her possessions must seek God and keep to all His commandments. {1 Corinthians 16:9; Romans 8:31; Zechariah 8:13; John 15:5). Having seen that our blessings are surrounded by our enemies and enemies of the gospel in the same manner they surrounded the children of Israel, we must overcome them to have our breakthrough and possess our possessions, we must keep and abide by the instructions given to us from our pastors. Neglect any form of negative familiarity with the word of God and the pastors of God. Be cleansed, submit totally to God and He will do something great and we shall prove the positive power of God in our lives.

For sinners and backsliders,
all who are aspiring to breakthrough strongholds, cross over hurdles and
possess their possessions but are not born again; they should repent, turn over
their lives to Jesus, seek sanctification, be purified and they shall
breakthrough to possess all in Jesus' Name. (1 John 3:8-9; 5:17; 1 Corinthians
6:9; Proverbs 28:13).
