THEME: BE ANXIOUS FOR NOTHING.
TEXT: Philippians 4.6
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
MEMORY VERSE: Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. Psalm 55:22.
MESSAGE:
Most times we are anxious about everything, what to eat and wear, house to live in, children, husband, wife, parents, brothers and sisters, education, business etc. the list is endless, yet with all this anxiety, there is little or nothing we can do on our own. It does not matter the extent of your anxiety or worry, it will produce nothing. There is a song we normally sing here: why worry, your father in heaven knows your need... , instead of being anxious, present that matter before God who is able to do all things.
Matthew 6:27 says, "Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?" On your own, you can do nothing. So worrying or being anxious will not bring any solution. Whatever you are passing through or whatever you desire, present it before God
1 Peter 5:7 "Casting all your care upon him for he careth for you." If God can clothe the grasses in the field and feed the birds of the air that do not have where to store their food, how much more you whom he created in his own image and likeness! Therefore stop being anxious, rather trust in him and do the work of God. He will surely bless and provide for you.
The text for today says through prayer and supplication; let your requests be made known to God. whatever is your heart desire can only be obtained through prayer, not by being anxious, so pray more. The most difficult thing or situation has been solved through prayer. No matter the mountain standing before you, prayer can melt it. So pray for everything you need or situation you want to change.
Go through the memory verse again. It says cast your burden upon the Lord and He shall sustain thee...
God has never failed his people and so He will not fail you. Always present your requests before Him.
PRAYER POINTS:
What is that thing giving you sleepless night? Present it before God now. Pray about everything and obtain everything through prayer.
AMEND YOUR WAYS: If you are not born again you must do something as a matter of urgency. He that commits sin is of the devil (1 John 3:8). If you are into lying, cheating, bitterness, keeping malice, pride, manifesting anger, quarreling, unforgiveness, hatred, envy, contention, strife, gossiping, taking or giving bribe, selfishness, kidnapping. If you are into masturbation, fornication, adultery, prostitution, abortion, lesbianism, homosexuality, you need to repent. Are you into idolatry, do you make or use charms, rituals, bow down to images, Are you into occultism? Do you smoke cigarette, cocaine, heroine? Are you lusting, covetous, alcohol drinking, divorcee or into worldliness?, you must stop bleaching your body, or painting your lips, eyes, fixing attachments, weave-on, earrings (Gen 35:2-4) Are you one of those that put on nude dresses, short skirts, transparent dresses to seduce (A seducer is not a Christian) do you wear trouser as a woman? Repent and give your life to Jesus Christ.
LET'S PRAY: If you want to give your life to JESUS pray this short prayer with me: Almighty God, I come unto you in the name of Jesus. Father I confess that I am a sinner. All my sins I confess to you. I am very sorry for all my sins. Lord I promise you that from today I will never continue in them anymore. I believe that Jesus Christ died and rose again on the third day for my justification. Almighty God, use the blood of Jesus to wash my sins away. Lord Jesus, come into my heart, be my Lord and Personal Savior. I surrender my life to you. Cancel my name from the book of death and give me grace to make Heaven. AMEN!
