THEME: LOVE NOT THE WORLD

Text: 1 John 2:15-17
15. Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

16. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

17. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

 MEMORY VERSE: And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:2.

MESSAGE:
Worldliness is stealthily creeping into the church and most people do not realize it. In
some churches, they can dance and entertain for over three hours but only use five minutes to pray. Even in some churches most women dress like prostitutes, while their men dress like cow-boys.
Pastor preaches what the people want to hear, not what God says he should preach. The church has become a place of musical jamboree without mentioning any iota of sin and all its consequences. People go to church everyday yet there is no sign of transformation in their spiritual life. Some want to eat in God's table and also partake in the camp of the devil.
Matthew 6:24 says 'No man can serve two masters" .. You cannot serve God and devil at the same time. Joshua told the children of Israel ...choose you this day whom you will serve.. (Joshua 24:15). I pose the same question to you reading this devotional, choose you this day whom you will serve. If you want to serve God, serve Him in righteousness because He is righteous.

Today's text says "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the father is not in him... the lust of the flesh and of the eyes, pride of life etc. they are not of God but of the world and all these thing would pass away but if you do the will of God, you will abide for ever. "

If you want to serve God, serve Him With seriousness. You cannot serve Him haphazardly and hope to make heaven. Some of you are Chosen in Lagos but outside Lagos where nobody knows you, you become something else.
To the extent that some of you go into fornication and adultery and other vices who is deceiving who? Remember it is appointed unto man once to die and after the judgment, Be careful, many have gone

PRAYER POINTS:
Pray earnestly and ask God to destroy the love of the world in you.
Pray, whatever may, you will serve God till the end.

AMEND YOUR WAYS: If you are not born again you must do something as a matter of urgency. He that commits sin is of the devil (1 John 3:8). If you are into lying, cheating, bitterness, keeping malice, pride, manifesting anger, quarreling, unforgiveness, hatred, envy, contention, strife, gossiping, taking or giving bribe, selfishness, kidnapping. If you are into masturbation, fornication, adultery, prostitution, abortion, lesbianism, homosexuality, you need to repent. Are you into idolatry, do you make or use charms, rituals, bow down to images, Are you into occultism? Do you smoke cigarette, cocaine, heroine? Are you lusting, covetous, alcohol drinking, divorcee or into worldliness?, you must stop bleaching your body, or painting your lips, eyes, fixing attachments, weave-on, earrings (Gen 35:2-4) Are you one of those that put on nude dresses, short skirts, transparent dresses to seduce (A seducer is not a Christian) do you wear trouser as a woman? Repent and give your life to Jesus Christ.

LET'S PRAY: If you want to give your life to JESUS pray this short prayer with me: Almighty God, I come unto you in the name of Jesus. Father I confess that I am a sinner. All my sins I confess to you. I am very sorry for all my sins. Lord I promise you that from today I will never continue in them anymore. I believe that Jesus Christ died and rose again on the third day for my justification. Almighty God, use the blood of Jesus to wash my sins away. Lord Jesus, come into my heart, be my Lord and Personal Savior. I surrender my life to you. Cancel my name from the book of death and give me grace to make Heaven. AMEN!
