THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL...

THEME: THE GODLY WILL ALWAYS SUFFER PERSECUTION. 

TEXT: 2 Timothy 3:12 
12. Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. 

MEMORY VERSE: And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles. Acts 8:1. 

MESSAGE:
Persecution is the ladder through which we climb to a higher glory in this Christian race. No Christian is exonerated from persecution. In fact any Christian without persecution is not a Christian indeed. Any prayer you are making for God not to bring persecution your way is not a right prayer, rather what you should pray for, is God give me the grace to endure persecution. It is after you must have successfully endured a particular persecution, you can be taken to another glory. So you cannot run away from it. 


The text for today makes it clear that all that would live a godly life in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. Persecution is meant for all genuine believers in Christ. You might not be wrong to say it's one of the conditions to fulfill or to show that you are genuine Christian. Therefore, prepare because it can come at any point in your Christian journey. 

Moreover, the body of Christ (church) can also face persecution to test their genuineness. Remember in 2013, we had terrible persecution during Juliet & Linda saga. It happened to the apostles of old in our memory verse above.

It was a great persecution indeed for the apostles and they scattered. But to show that their course was of God, as they scattered, they did not stop but continued to preach the word of God and God was confirming their words with signs and wonders

When Chosen was passing through persecution two to three years ago, we were still going everywhere preaching with our aprons on and God was with us confirming our programmes with signs and wonders. If our course is not of God, this church would have been closed down since 2013 but because God is With us, as the persecution was on, God was increasing and expanding us and today we are still flourishing for God. 

You may be passing through one persecution or the other, understand that it as an avenue for your lifting Don't complain, dont murmur, God will see you through eventually

PRAYER POINTS:
Pray for the grace to endure persecution when it comes.
Pray for the power to continue, no matter what the enemy is doing. 

AMEND YOUR WAYS: If you are not born again you must do something as a matter of urgency. He that commits sin is of the devil (1 John 3:8). If you are into lying, cheating, bitterness, keeping malice, pride, manifesting anger, quarreling, unforgiveness, hatred, envy, contention, strife, gossiping, taking or giving bribe, selfishness, kidnapping. If you are into masturbation, fornication, adultery, prostitution, abortion, lesbianism, homosexuality, you need to repent. Are you into idolatry, do you make or use charms, rituals, bow down to images, Are you into occultism? Do you smoke cigarette, cocaine, heroine? Are you lusting, covetous, alcohol drinking, divorcee or into worldliness?, you must stop bleaching your body, or painting your lips, eyes, fixing attachments, weave-on, earrings (Gen 35:2-4) Are you one of those that put on nude dresses, short skirts, transparent dresses to seduce (A seducer is not a Christian) do you wear trouser as a woman? Repent and give your life to Jesus Christ.

LET'S PRAY: If you want to give your life to JESUS pray this short prayer with me: Almighty God, I come unto you in the name of Jesus. Father I confess that I am a sinner. All my sins I confess to you. I am very sorry for all my sins. Lord I promise you that from today I will never continue in them anymore. I believe that Jesus Christ died and rose again on the third day for my justification. Almighty God, use the blood of Jesus to wash my sins away. Lord Jesus, come into my heart, be my Lord and Personal Savior. I surrender my life to you. Cancel my name from the book of death and give me grace to make Heaven. AMEN!
