THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL

THEME: THE HERITAGE OF THE CHILDREN OF GOD
TEXT: Isaiah 54:17
17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shaft condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD."
MEMORY VERSE: Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Luke 10:19.
MESSAGE:
I listened with pity, to the story of one man who was pleading for a portion of land to build his country home. It was very unfortunate he was asking for this land from his cousin. He is older than that cousin of his. It happened that his father and that of his cousin were of the same mother. But the one asking for portion of land is supposed to be in control because his father was the elder of the two. Because his father was away, the younger brother took control of their property. The thing descended down to their sons. The elder one who was supposed to be in control of the property was asking for land because he does hot know his right in the family.
This is what a lot of Christians who do not know their right, heritage and authority in the kingdom do. The Christians who fail to understand their relationship with God and the rights to enjoy.
In the text above, the Bible tells us that no weapon formed against us shall prosper, and that we will condemn any tongue that rises against us in judgment. He who knows his right in the kingdom and asserts his authority will begin to enjoy these rights and privileges.
In the memory verse the Bible says that God has given us power to March upon serpents and scorpion and none of them will harm us.
The use of serpents and scorpion are representation of all kinds of evil, charms buried in the ground, weapons cf destructions will not have power over us. It is not strange to hear testimonies of people shot by armed robbers and the gun failed , In rare occasions where they exploded the bullets touched the person and dropped on the ground without harmful effect on the person.
If you know your rights in the family of God, live your life as a son or daughter i.e in obedient to the words of the father you will enjoy the rights.
There will be no weapon that will harm you; there will be no sickness that will affect you. When you live for God, your right and heritage will be assured.
PRAYER POINTS:
Ask God for the grace to live holy and righteous life.
AMEND YOUR WAYS: If you are not born again you must do something as a matter of urgency. He that commits sin is of the devil (1 John 3:8). If you are into lying, cheating, bitterness, keeping malice, pride, manifesting anger, quarreling, unforgiveness, hatred, envy, contention, strife, gossiping, taking or giving bribe, selfishness, kidnapping. If you are into masturbation, fornication, adultery, prostitution, abortion, lesbianism, homosexuality, you need to repent. Are you into idolatry, do you make or use charms, rituals, bow down to images, Are you into occultism? Do you smoke cigarette, cocaine, heroine? Are you lusting, covetous, alcohol drinking, divorcee or into worldliness?, you must stop bleaching your body, or painting your lips, eyes, fixing attachments, weave-on, earrings (Gen 35:2-4) Are you one of those that put on nude dresses, short skirts, transparent dresses to seduce (A seducer is not a Christian) do you wear trouser as a woman? Repent and give your life to Jesus Christ.
LET'S PRAY: If you want to give your life to JESUS pray this short prayer with me: Almighty God, I come unto you in the name of Jesus. Father I confess that I am a sinner. All my sins I confess to you. I am very sorry for all my sins. Lord I promise you that from today I will never continue in them anymore. I believe that Jesus Christ died and rose again on the third day for my justification. Almighty God, use the blood of Jesus to wash my sins away. Lord Jesus, come into my heart, be my Lord and Personal Savior. I surrender my life to you. Cancel my name from the book of death and give me grace to make Heaven. AMEN!
