THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL

THEME: FOR WHAT PURPOSE ARE YOU IN THE LORD'S CHOSEN?
TEXT: Luke 7:24-26
24 And when the messengers of John were departed, he began to speak unto the people concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness for to see? A reed shaken with the wind?
25 But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? Behold, they which are gorgeously apparelled, and live delicately, are in kings' courts.
26 But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? Yea, I say unto you, and much more than a prophet.
27 This is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.
MEMORY VERSE: But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33.
MESSAGE:
It is very necessary that every Christian should know at his or her finger-tips the essence of repentance and being in a living church or charismatic movement like The Lord's Chosen. When one gets this at the back of his or her mind the person becomes fully focused.
In the course of the race, if any other good thing comes his/her way, he takes it with gratitude. In the course of the race, if difficulties arise the person bears with fortitude yet forging ahead.
There are times I would be along the road and see vehicles decorated with The Lord's Chosen stickers, Most people buy the stickers because they hear it gives protection and miracles. Many people come to the church because they hear armed robbers don't attack Chosen members when they declare who they are. But if that is your reason for coming you have missed the focus. Do not be a Chosen by stickers. The purpose of Christianity is for heavenly race and to make heaven at the end of this life.
Many people went to John the Baptist to see the man shouting in the wilderness, clothed in animal skin. They were not interested in the message he was passing across to them.
Many people come to The Lord's Chosen seeking for miracles of financial breakthrough, for children, for healing of sicknesses. The people who come for these if they do not get it may likely begin to complain. The ultimate goal of Christianity is for heaven's sake, Our message in every service is concluded with salvation message an indication that we are more interested in your making heaven than prosperity. Both of them are important but salvation is more important.
If your purpose is miracle, no, it should be salvation and heaven at last.
PRAYER POINTS:
Pray that you do not miss the focus of heaven.
Pray that while God blesses you materially he should guide you to make heaven.
AMEND YOUR WAYS: If you are not born again you must do something as a matter of urgency. He that commits sin is of the devil (1 John 3:8). If you are into lying, cheating, bitterness, keeping malice, pride, manifesting anger, quarreling, unforgiveness, hatred, envy, contention, strife, gossiping, taking or giving bribe, selfishness, kidnapping. If you are into masturbation, fornication, adultery, prostitution, abortion, lesbianism, homosexuality, you need to repent. Are you into idolatry, do you make or use charms, rituals, bow down to images, Are you into occultism? Do you smoke cigarette, cocaine, heroine? Are you lusting, covetous, alcohol drinking, divorcee or into worldliness?, you must stop bleaching your body, or painting your lips, eyes, fixing attachments, weave-on, earrings (Gen 35:2-4) Are you one of those that put on nude dresses, short skirts, transparent dresses to seduce (A seducer is not a Christian) do you wear trouser as a woman? Repent and give your life to Jesus Christ.
LET'S PRAY: If you want to give your life to JESUS pray this short prayer with me: Almighty God, I come unto you in the name of Jesus. Father I confess that I am a sinner. All my sins I confess to you. I am very sorry for all my sins. Lord I promise you that from today I will never continue in them anymore. I believe that Jesus Christ died and rose again on the third day for my justification. Almighty God, use the blood of Jesus to wash my sins away. Lord Jesus, come into my heart, be my Lord and Personal Savior. I surrender my life to you. Cancel my name from the book of death and give me grace to make Heaven. AMEN!
