THEME: YOU ARE GOD'S WATCHMAN
TEXT: Ezekiel 3:17-19
17 Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.
18 When I say unto the wicked, Though shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
19 Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.”
MEMORY VERSE : Thy watchmen shall lift up the voice; with the voice together shall they sing: for they shall see eye to eye, when the Lord shall bring again Zion. Isaiah 52:8
MESSAGE:
A watchman is like a trumpeter or a town-crier. Once a trumpeter sounds his trumpet or a town-crier sounds his metal-gong, people keep quiet, why? Because they want to hear the message from the town crier or trumpeter. The trumpeter or town crier does not cry in vain. He must have a message to deliver before he blows the trumpet.
The same with the watchman, when you are God's watchman, you receive message from God and pass it on to the people. So was Ezekiel. He was God's watchman. Through him, God warned his people - the Israelites.
As a Chosen, you are supposed to be a watchman of this generation. God uses you to warn the people. But the question is, how genuine are you as a watchman and are you diligent in passing on the message given to you by God? Ezekiel consecrated himself to God and God relied on him and was using him. Can God rely on you? Some of you are not faithful in the little that is committed into your hands, and when you are not faithful in a little how can much be committed into your hands. A watchman is supposed to be honest and faithful, ready to do the will of God always. If really you are a watchman for God, you will not have your own will but focus on the will of God. It is when God sees that you are always doing his will, that he will trust you and make you a watchman whom He will use to warn the people of consequences of sin, compromise or backsliding. And so, though there are many who claim to be Christians or children of God, yet only very few are watchmen. This is because, many people are serving God with their mouth, not with their heart. Therefore, the order of the day in many places/churches are entertainment, or jamboree with the quest for money utmost in their hearts. God cannot use such a person as a watchman. Ezekiel was always there for God to use. Always consecrate yourself for God to use you as a watchman.
PRAYER POINTS:
• Pray that God will make you a watchman as He made Ezekiel.
• Pray for consecration.
AMEND YOUR WAYS:
If you are not born again you must do something as a matter of urgency. He that commits sin is of the devil (1 John 3:8).
If you are into lying, cheating, bitterness, keeping malice, pride, manifesting anger, quarreling, unforgiveness, hatred, envy, contention, strife, gossiping, taking or giving bribe, selfishness,
kidnapping. If you are into masturbation, fornication, adultery, prostitution, abortion, lesbianism, homosexuality, you need to repent.
Are you into idolatry, do you make or use charms, rituals, bow down to images, Are you into occultism?
Do you smoke cigarette, cocaine, heroine? Are you lusting, covetous, alcohol drinking, divorcee or into worldliness?, you must stop bleaching your body, or painting your lips, eyes, fixing attachments, weave-on, earrings (Gen 35:2-4)
Are you one of those that put on nude dresses, short skirts, transparent dresses to seduce
(A seducer is not a Christian) do you wear trouser as a woman?
Repent and give your life to Jesus Christ.
LET'S PRAY:
If you want to give your life to JESUS pray this short prayer with me:
Almighty God, I come unto you in the name of Jesus. Father I confess that I am a sinner. All my sins I confess to you. I am very sorry for all my sins.
Lord I promise you that from today I will never continue in them anymore.
I believe that Jesus Christ died and rose again on the third day for my justification. Almighty God, use the blood of Jesus to wash my sins away. Lord Jesus, come into my heart, be my Lord and Personal Savior.
I surrender my life to you.
Cancel my name from the book of death and give me grace to make Heaven. AMEN!
