WORKSHOP MESSAGE FOR THE UNDERGRADUATES IN THE ON-GOING INTERNATIONAL YOUTH PROGRAMME.

TOPIC: TEN TIMES BETTER

TEXT: DANIEL 1:17-21, PROVERBS 22:29, EXODUS 36:1

MESSAGE:
As youths we all aspire to be great in life, although faced with so many competitions among our peers in various spheres of life. And sometimes you imagine; can my voice be heard in the society in the not too distant future. Consider our case character study {Daniel and his companion} they were not the only young people carried into Babylon from Judah, some qualities made them exceptional among so many. God’s natural endowments coupled with their decisions made them unique and qualified to stand in the king’s palace.

THE IMPORTANCE OF NATURAL ENDOWMENTS AND SKILLS
The world is evolving and the demands in most areas of life is high and challenging, there are so many students in various institutions of higher learning all over the world striving to make it in their respective course of study {like the case of Daniel and his companion in the university of Babylon}, similar to our present world, only very few graduate with the top grade. Let’s explore the importance of gifts to our lives as an undergraduate {Ex. 35:30-35}.
• First the gift of salvation: brings God’s presence to you. {Rom. 6:23}
• Gifts brings you out from the dungeon to glory {Joseph as a prime minister of Egypt}
• The gift of God helps us actualize our career goals {consider the parable of the talents}
• Gift makes you extraordinary among ordinary people {imagine making a first class}
• Endowments helps you to be an achiever {it helps you to understand your purpose in life}
• The gifts of God are divers {discover yours and harness it, you will become ten times better}

HOW TO BECOME TEN TIMES BETTER
We must understand that for us to become ten times better we should take time to study the life of those before us who were high achievers during their time and learn from their system. Life is full of competition and to get you voice heard amidst such contest, requires certain principles to make you stand out.
1. Determination: is the quality of being firmly committed to a defined goal with a clean course of action to reach the goal at all cost.
2. Diligence: {Pro. 22:9, Ecc. 9:10}. Dreams without diligence will only amount to day dreaming or wishful thinking.
3. Self-Development: is the quality of being firmly committed to personal re-structuring by careful examining areas you need to improve i.e. communication ability, short programs, good human relations skills, leadership dexterity. Etc.
4. Harness your God given potentials: you must ensure you do not sit upon your natural endowments take time to channel them into positive capacities.
5. ensure purity” {Dan. 1:8-9{. Always live right, to have the presence of God always, it brings favour to you.
6. Keep good company’s: {Dan. 2:17-19}. Good association is vital to your success in life, recall the saying “show me your friends, and I will tell who you are”.
Remember, life is so priceless to squander, generations comes and go but only those who were better among others in their generation, whose legacies lives on, as life goes on, the world will never forget names such as, Michael Faraday, Robert Hooke, Thomas Edison, Daniel Bernoulli, Karl Benz, T.S Osborne, Haratio Spafford, John Wesley, Charles Babbage, even our G.O whom the Lord has raised in our time pioneering the fastest growing church worldwide and through him revival is going on in the Lord’s chosen and all over the world and also many more who has their names written in the history books of the world. They were different. Dare to be a Daniel in your own time. It begins now.
