THEME: DISCOVER WHO YOU ARE
TEXT: 2 Kings 2:13-14
13 He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and went back, and stood by the bank of Jordan;
14 And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the Lord God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither:and Elisha went over.
MEMORY VERSE:
And the Lord came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for thy servant heareth. And the Lord said to Samuel, Behold, I will do a thing in Israel, at which both the ears of every one that heareth it shall tingle. In that day I will perform against Eli all things which I have spoken concerning his house:when I begin, I will also make an end. 1 Samuel 3:10-12
MESSAGE:
It takes an event or action to take place before one discovers who he is or the purpose of his or creation.
God gave everyone one virtue or the other, one gift or the other to make the person outstanding from others. The person has to do something in order to discover who he or she is, to know the purpose of his creation. It was when Elisha was faced with problem of crossing the River Jordan after Elijah his master was taken up to heaven that he discovered that he had become a prophet. When he was faced with the problem of crossing the River Jordan, he wrapped Elijah's mantle and struck the River Jordan and the water parted and he walked across the river on a dry ground.
Samuel heard from God before he discovered he had become a prophet or seer. For you to know the talent God has deposited in you, you need to take action, try your hand on something positive, it is in taking action that faith works and talents made manifest in the life of an individual.
Take action about any good idea that comes to you, you will discover that you will do exploit. Always take action and God will bless you.
PRAYER POINTS:
* Pray that God will help you discover your talent.
* Pray for the courage to take actions whenever necessary.
AMEND YOUR WAYS:
If you are not born again you must do something as a matter of urgency. He that commits sin is of the devil (1 John 3:8).
If you are into lying, cheating, bitterness, keeping malice, pride, manifesting anger, quarreling, unforgiveness, hatred, envy, contention, strife, gossiping, taking or giving bribe, selfishness,
kidnapping. If you are into masturbation, fornication, adultery, prostitution, abortion, lesbianism, homosexuality, you need to repent.
Are you into idolatry, do you make or use charms, rituals, bow down to images, Are you into occultism?
Do you smoke cigarette, cocaine, heroine? Are you lusting, covetous, alcohol drinking, divorcee or into worldliness?, you must stop bleaching your body, or painting your lips, eyes, fixing attachments, weave-on, earrings (Gen 35:2-4)
Are you one of those that put on nude dresses, short skirts, transparent dresses to seduce
(A seducer is not a Christian) do you wear trouser as a woman?
Repent and give your life to Jesus Christ.
LET'S PRAY:
If you want to give your life to JESUS pray this short prayer with me:
Almighty God, I come unto you in the name of Jesus. Father I confess that I am a sinner. All my sins I confess to you. I am very sorry for all my sins.
Lord I promise you that from today I will never continue in them anymore.
I believe that Jesus Christ died and rose again on the third day for my justification. Almighty God, use the blood of Jesus to wash my sins away. Lord Jesus, come into my heart, be my Lord and Personal Savior.
I surrender my life to you.
Cancel my name from the book of death and give me grace to make Heaven.
AMEN!
