Excellent Spirit: Essential Basis For Outstanding Academic Success
FIRST MESSAGE AT 2019 ACADEMIC FORUM

TOPIC: EXCELLENT SPIRIT: ESSENTIAL BASIS FOR OUTSTANDING ACADEMIC SUCCESS
TEXT: Daniel 5:12, Romans 3:23
INTRODUCTION:
All men are born equal from the beginning but what happens in the course of time is what matters most. Rom 3:23
In this first message, it is highly expedient that we clearly state out the essential basis for ACADEMIC SUCCESS. We must understand that there’s a certain level where critical thinking, head knowledge and book searching and studying can take you to. As a nominal student regular child who is questing for knowledge, there is a stage which you can get to and that is it.
So, for the purpose of clarity and proper understanding, we shall consider this lecture under the following sub-heading:
POINT 1: EXCELLENT SPIRIT OF GOD, A NECESSITY.(Daniel 5:12)Date
Examples of Governor & Presidents
In Babylon as a city, there was a quest for scholars, not just regular men, and ten persons were brought before the king but something made Daniel outstanding. In addition to the regular knowledge and understanding and several other qualities, He had an excellent spirit that was the difference that distinguished him.
POINT 2: EXCELLENT SPIRIT OF GOD EXPLAINED
This Excellent spirit is the divine spirit that comes from God into a person. Once he or she is saved.( 1st John 4:13,15). And this spirit can only be gotten through Jesus Christ (John 14:6, John 15:5)
Now, It is this Excellent spirit of God that will give rise to the other qualities such as :
1. No Blemish (Daniel 1:4)
2. Purity and Absence of all forms of Defilement
3. Interpreting Dreams, dissolving of Doubts (Daniel 5:12)
POINT 3: THE RESPONSE OF THE ENDEARED
Having seen the benefit of an excellent spirit in the life of a young student such as Daniel (Daniel 6:3), Our expected response should be to earnestly desire this excellent spirit of God through Genuine salvation and Repentance.
Do you know that it is a beautiful testimony to be young? Joseph was young at Portipher's house but never defiled himself. Daniel was a youth in Babylon and never defiled himself.
If you must be outstanding by possession of this excellent Spirit of God, you must guard your testimony.
