"DEVELOP YOURSELF SPIRITUALLY." MUMMY JOY MUOKA URGES THE YOUTH
The atmosphere was filled with joy and there was ovations when the wife of the General Overseer of The Lord's Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries, Mummy Joy Muoka, mounted the podium. The audience, who couldn't withhold their joy, expressed their happiness by way of energetic and charismatic displays.
Her duty is well understood: To, on the behalf of the General Overseer, extend a warm hand of welcome to the legions of youths who have come from various parts of the world including Ghana, Togo, Cote-d'-ivoire, Burkina Faso and still counting.
"I welcome everyone to this edition of the annual international youth program", she began. "It is a delight to see you all made it up here."
She further said that God has prepared special packages for all the youths and mentioned that every person must go with theirs by the end of this program. She expressed appreciation to God for the testimonies shared stating that they are clear confirmations that many has started harvesting theirs already.
Going further, she encouraged the youth to prioritize spiritual development in their life pursuit. "I want you all to know that the intellectual development of a youth is important," she said. "howbeit one's spiritual life is of topmost important."
She continued: "Therefore, you should not be carried away with the advancement-- social and knowledge wise-- of the contemporary world. Following these trend, many youths has ended up becoming victims of such social vices as drug addict, armed robbery, cultism, immorality, pornography, abortion, fornication, kidnapping. Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Twitter amongst other social networking sites are not exempted.
She blamed these things as being at the heart of countless cases of loss of lives in the society. According to her, some persons have even found themselves initiated into one cult group or the other. Citing the book of 1 John 2:15, she emphasized that the lust of the world do not allow for spiritual growth, saying that it is for the foregoing that this program was initiated so as to serve as a veritable tool of ensuring proper enlightenment and preparedness of the youth.
She summarized by outlining some titbits that, as she would tell it, would guide everyone in ensuring optimum maximization of church programs such as the one they have found themself in. They are captured below:
(1) Be conscious of where you are and what you do at every situation.
(2) You must be seated and listen to the preachers and to the message of our Daddy G.O.
(3) You must ensure strict discipline.
(4) You must, as much as possible, desist from night movement.
(5) Stealing of any kind should be shunned.
(6) Write down every message and meditate on it when you get home, 1 Timothy 4:5.
She encouraged the participants to ensure full compliance of these guidelines as doing so would facilitate the blessing of God.
"As you obey these things," she prayed. "God will impact in you all the qualities that makes for a blessed youth in Jesus's name. Amen!"
