THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL…

TEXT: 1 Kings 17:1-6

THEME: YOU ARE SUSTAINED BY GRACE

MEMORISE: But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. (1 Corinthians 15:10)

MESSAGE: 

The Grace of God is an unmerited favour which every believer receives from God. No Christian can walk with God except by His grace. By His grace you are saved and by the same grace you can live right and witness Christ. 

The same grace gives you access to your redemptive rights in the Lord. When one is sustained by the grace of God, it makes the fellowship with God accessible without struggle. This unmerited favour was made available through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. More importantly, the grace of God must never be abused, for it was bought at a price. 

The scripture asks, Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? God forbid. A person under grace does not behave anyhow or act as he pleases or else it will amount to despising the blood of Jesus Christ. Such person is in danger of eternal damnation. With the harsh economic situation in the country and beyond, children of the kingdom are sustained by grace, because they are not of the world.

During the ministry of Elijah, God sustained him by grace. As the famine and drought in the land worsened, God ordered birds to bring him food and provided a brook where he could drink from. So, while people where lamenting and crying because of the condition of the land, Elijah was taken care of by God. 

As believers, we must never lament as unbelievers do. We have a Father who never fails, no matter the situation. Chosen people are exempted from famine; we are sustained by grace. For the grace of God to be made manifest in your life, you must ensure that you abide in the Lord. What others labour to achieve, you will achieve same without struggling because you are covered by grace.

Worship/praise God and then take the following prayer points:

1. I take advantage of the grace made available through the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ and I decree that no problems of life shall be able to stand before me, in Jesus' name.

2. I decree and declare that no matter the state of the economy, the grace of God shall be sufficient unto me, in Jesus' name

3. I pray for matchless grace and anointing of God upon our G. O and Mummy in the Lord, in Jesus' name.
