THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL…

TEXT: 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17

Theme: LIVING IN CONSCIOUSNESS OF HIS COMING

MEMORISE: Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. (Mark 13:33)

MESSAGE: One of the major ways to stay nourished spiritually is to have consciousness of the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The recent events unfolding all over the world are clear manifestations of the fulfilment of the prophecies of Christ's second coming to rapture the church. 

As believers we do not sorrow as others who do not have this hope of glory. We are required to remain steadfast in righteousness because His coming is nearer than when we first believed the signs of his appearing being everywhere. Therefore, every believer who is waiting to go on rapture must be at alert. The bible says that because of the elect of God, He will not tarry. The days will be shortened.

Are you living in consciousness of this very fact or are you still living your life anyhow as though nothing is as stake? You may be endangering your soul. Let this consciousness be in you. Begin now to start living in the consciousness of His coming by amending your ways so that you will not be taken unawares when He eventually appears in the sky with His arch-angels. 

Be sure not to be carried away by the distractions around - the lust of the eyes, pride of life, reviling and banqueting. Watch your thoughts, actions, deeds, words, and places you visit. Endeavour to remain closer to the Lord than ever before, as iniquity abounds. Do not allow your love for the things of God to go cold; continue in the Lord whole heartedly no matter the trials, persecution, resentment, hate and discouragement. 

These are part of the experiences you will have to go through in the heavenly race. Whoever endures till the end, the same shall be saved. Ensure there is oil in your lamp and extra oil, watching and praying and preaching to save souls as you go about your everyday life. Let the consciousness of rapture envelope your hearts by mediating in the word of God and exhorting one another; for He is coming to rapture a church without spot, wrinkles, or blemish.

Worship/praise God and then take the following prayer points:

1. O Lord, help me to live my life every day as if it is my last, in Jesus' name.

2. Everything working to hinder me from going on rapture, O Lord work against them, in Jesus' name.

3. Strengthen our G. O, Mummy in the Lord, their children and entire family and help them to remain prepared always, in Jesus' name.
