TEXT: John 7:38, Galatians 5:22-23

THEME: TIME TO PROVE YOUR FAITH IN GOD

MEMORIZE: "10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.3:11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts. (Malachi 3:10-11)

MESSAGE:

Serving God is a practical thing and not in words. That is why the gospel is the demonstration of the power of God. Many people choose aspects of God's word to obey and those to discard. Among those they ignore is the area of tithe paying. They see their income as being too small to pay tithes from and when their income is big, they still view their tithe as a huge sum to give 'away' in the name of tithe. They see it from the angle of helping the pastor and the church. Little do they understand that paying of tithe is a spiritual injunction from God by which He stands to pour out His blessings upon believers in Christ.

So, today, you are confronted with the task of paying your tithe. It is a financial obligation of every believer. It is not a matter of if you want. It is a duty call. May be you have not been experiencing God's blessings in the area of your business or career. It is because your business or job or career has no divine insurance cover provided by paying of tithes. God says you should pay your tithe and prove Him to know whether He will not honour His word to pour out blessings such that you will not have enough room to keep them. Remember, anybody urging you not to pay tithes is the enemy of your prosperity.

Worship/praise God and then take the following prayer points:

1. And as I make up my mind to pay my tithes from now onwards, let the overflowing blessings of God fill my household, in Jesus’name.

2. Any devourer, caterpillar, cankerworm, palmerworm and all the spirits of losses and wastages assigned against my harvest; be uprooted, in Jesus’name.

3. Any devouring power assigned against the finances of The Lord's Chosen ministry; be destroyed by fire, in Jesus’name.
