THEME: YOU SURELY DO NEED GOD’S GOODNESS AND MERCY
MEMORISE: “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.” (Psalm 23:6)
MESSAGE:
The Psalmist was aware that in the absence of God’s goodness and mercies, his life would be characterized by struggles and probably failures of every kind. Therefore, he made it a prayer point that God’s goodness and mercies should follow him all the days of his life and cause him to dwell in the presence of the Lord forever. Both goodness and mercy are attributes of God’s divine nature. Their roles in the general well being of an individual cannot be over emphasized. The goodness and mercy of God are both spiritual nourishments that when they are activated in the life of a believer make him/her to walk in dominion.
As a believer in Christ, you must therefore realize that no matter the efforts you put in as a mortal being, without the goodness and mercy of God, they will amount to an exercise in futility. In view of this, you must therefore endeavour to activate His goodness upon your life through prayer and righteous living. You need to attract God’s goodness and mercies to be able to actualize your destiny. How do you achieve this? You must put all your trust in God no matter what is going on in your life. You must believe in His power to turn every negative situation around. That way, you are not walking by sight, but by faith. In that spiritual condition, you are convinced that come what may, the will of God must prevail in your life.
Worship/praise God and then take the following prayer points:
1. By the power and authority in the spoken word of God, I decree that His goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord, forever, in Jesus' name.
2. Any power working to sabotage and siphon God’s goodness and mercies out of my life; receive rebuke, in Jesus' name.
3. O God, I ask that you increase the level of my faith, your grace and presence in my life, in Jesus' name.
4. I decree that God’s goodness and mercies shall be visible and evident in the life of our G. O, our mummy in the Lord, their children and their entire family, in Jesus' name.
