TOPIC: ENCOURAGE THE WEAK

TEXT: Isaiah 35:3-4; Matt.25:31-40

Every believer must be an encouragement to one another in the faith. We should know that we are the spiritual Israelites and as the physical Israelites are surrounded by the enemies on every side in the Middle East; so also, we are surrounded by the enemies of God and His people in this world (1 John 5: 19; Rev. 12:7-12).

So, as a result, the unbelievers around, fight and persecute us, be they husband, wife, brother, sister, mother, father or neighbours. So, we should encourage one another.

We shall consider this message under the following sub-headings:-

2. Our Expected Response And The Effect

1. THE REASONS AND WAYS

We should know that encouragement helps those that are weak or discouraged to be strengthened and to have courage to move forward (1 Kings 19:1-8). Also, for us to know that we are not alone and that somebody is with us and cares for us (1 Kings 19:9-10, 14-18); we can encourage one another by visiting, caring, giving help, by prayers or phone calls and sharing the word of God.

2. OUR EXPECTED RESPONSE AND THE EFFECT

We that are elders and are born-again truly should forget our problems, but help and care for others like our Master Jesus Christ and the Apostles did (Phil.2:4-8; John 12:23-26). We should not be selfish or concerned with only our needs, we should take up that cross and follow the Lord to care for others (Matt. 16:24-25; Gal.6:1-2; 2 Cor.6:1); and as we care or comfort them (Isaiah 35:3-4), they shall be encouraged, serve God, and make heaven at last; and the Lord shall reward us at the end.

The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Movement

The Lord has given us a three-fold vision

Vision No. 1:

Grassroots Revival all over the world: With everywhere in the whole world as our mission field, we have the mission of taking the gospel message to everyone through every medium available, with our adoption of the Charismatic approach like the morning cry, bus evangelism, market evangelism, the use of the apron etc.

Vision No. 2:
Revival of the Apostolic Christian experiences among the body of Christ, The Lord has commissioned us to bring back and stir a revival and restoration of the Christian experience as: genuine salvation, sanctification, baptism of the Holy Ghost, all the fruit of the Holy Spirit and accompanying gifts of the spirit among the body of Christ - A greater part of which hitherto seemed to have slept or lost their focus.

Vision No. 3:
Revival of Heaven consciousness among the body of Christ. With the language of communicating righteousness and holiness in the church gone so weak, such that sin is being taken for granted; with many going to church just to get the things of this world being grossly unmindful of godliness and heaven. God has given us, as our third vision, a re-awakening of the indispensable consciousness of heaven among the body of Christ and thus, ultimate - heaven at last.

Our Mandate
Our mandate is to bring 10 billion souls into the kingdom of God. Though the population of the world at the moment is not yet up to 10 billion; our mandate is simply an endless one. It is a mandate that will outlive us. That is why we shall never rest on our oars; regardless of the numerical strength of the ministry until every ground is covered!
