BLESSED ARE THEY THAT DO HIS WILL

TOPIC: BLESSED ARE THEY THAT DO HIS WILL
In John 3:16, you can see the extent of God’s love for us, giving us His only begotten son even while we were yet sinners. Romans 5:8. God did this to demonstrate His love and if He did not withhold Jesus Christ from dying on the cross, there’s nothing He can withhold from those who do His will. Romans 8:32.
God will surely bless all those that do His will and they shall make heaven at last. Acts 10:38. The problem with many people especially believers is that they don’t obey God’s word and are not subject to His will. Matthew 7:21-23. The judgment of God is coming upon those who do not do God’s will and when you do His will, He will surely bless you. James 1:25.
Therefore, for us to be prosperous this year, we must do His will.
For more insight and better understanding, we shall consider these subheadings:
1. KNOWING HIS WILL AND THE WAYS OF DOING THEM
2. UNFORTUNATE SITUATION AND THE EFFECT OF DOING HIS WILL
1. KNOWING HIS WILL AND THE WAYS OF DOING THEM
We have to be aware that for anyone to do His will, such person must know His words. John 13:17. The knowledge of His will matter a lot. No wonder those before us knew His will and strived to do them. Psalm 143:10. Look at both case of our Lord Jesus Christ in Hebrews 10:7. He did God’s will according to the word of God. The will of God is the word of God in the Bible. Everyone that wants to do God’s will must know His word , come to church and hear the Pastor talk about His word and also study the Bible. 2 Timothy 2:15.
We must also endeavor to know what the Bible is saying on every matter. Isaiah 34:16, John 1:7-8. As you meditate on the word of God and do what it says, you shall prosper. Deuteronomy 28:12.
Anyone wishing to make it this year of Dominion, Blessing and Honour, don’t be careless when you come to church. Pay attention to the teaching and then go home and study the word of God. John 13:17. When you do this, you will never record any failure in your life. 1 John 2: 12-14, 1 John 5:13.
Whatever God has revealed to us as His will, we must go ahead to do them. There is a divine constitution governing the children of God which is the Bible. That is why when you come across witches and wizard, you say “It is written”. Matthew 4: 1-4. It is this constitution that you will use in temptations and trials. You will also be judged by this constitution. The devil knows this constitution, so you must know it. Children of God must know the word of God or he will not spare you. Matthew 4:4-11
Many of you might think that you are filled with the power or God but the devil can still tempt you. As a Christian, you shouldn’t be moved by material things because if you have God, you have all. Do not allow the devil to distract you.
We must endeavor to know His will like Jesus Christ our master and go on to do it. We should also stay away from people who do not know the word of God. Joshua 1: 16, 1 Peter 4: 1
Practicalize the totality of the word of God, don’t say anyone is too difficult to keep and you shall be prosperous. Let’s do the will of God and prosper.
POINT 2: UNFORTUNATE SITUATION AND THE EFFECT OF DOING HIS WILL
Even though doing His will brings blessings, but many Christians and unbelievers are not interested in doing His will. Unbelievers are living in isolation of His will and are suffering the effects and are on their way to hell. Hosea 4:6
You must know His will so you can depart from evil. Many believers, though they know His will are not willing to do them. That’s why we have Christians today that are not Christians indeed because they don’t do God’s will. Some don’t want to know His will that’s why they are suffering. If you don’t do God’s will, he can’t be with you and if He’s not with you, you cannot succeed. Matthew 6:33, John 8:38, Matthew 5: 14-16, John 8:29, John 8: 43, Luke 12: 43-44.
Anyone that obeys God, God will never depart from such person and He will see you as a treasure. Psalm 92: 12, Matthew 11: 27-28, 1 Peter 3:12.
When you do His will, nobody can harm you and when you pray God will answer. As you go on to do this, this year, I will see Chosen ones shinning. Righteousness is profitable on earth and when we get to heaven. Revelation 22:14. Let us take the challenge of the hour by ensuring that we serve God more with righteousness.
Our program titled ‘FROM SORROW TO JOY” is coming up on 4th and 5th February. We should put this message into practice by preparing for this program which is the greatest program in the church. Let’s go into full and radical evangelism. Exodus 23: 25-26.
As we go out to do this, we shall prosper in Jesus' name.
For sinners and backsliders, they should repent from their sins and promise God never to return them. 1 John 3:8-9.
