THEME: BEWARE OF GREEK GIFTS

MESSAGE: 

“16 And I have heard of thee, that thou canst make interpretations, and dissolve doubts: now if thou canst read the writing, and make known to me the interpretation thereof, thou shalt be clothed with scarlet, and have a chain of gold about thy neck, and shalt be the third ruler in the kingdom. 17 Then Daniel answered and said before the king, Let thy gifts be to thyself, and give thy rewards to another; yet I will read the writing unto the king, and make known to him the interpretation.” (Daniel 5:16-17)

The gift which God gives to all men is designed to pave way for the beneficiary. But the gift which a man receives from a fellow man is not always designed to pave way for him. Sometimes, such gifts are designed to get the receiver to compromise his/her position. Sometimes, such gifts actually ruin those who receive them. That is why you must scrutinize the kind of gifts you receive from people. If they are gifts that will cause you to lose your salvation or compromise or even backslide, you must never accept them.

Daniel scrutinized the offer of the king and viewed it as capable of causing him to compromise his faith hence; he told the king to give his gifts to another person. Instead, he preferred to fast and pray than to drink the red wine and meat on the king’s table. You must beware of similar offers that the enemy might make to you. It might be all that is required to cause your ruin. Some people lure those they feel are in a tight corner with ‘Greek’ gifts – maybe to pay house rent or children’s school fees, only to hold such individual in bondage perennially.

These days, occult groups and individuals go up and down brandishing gifts which they give to unsuspecting victims - not to favour them, but to useless their destinies. That is why whoever wants to collect gifts must open his eyes. What is the gift they are dangling before you so that you can trade your salvation for a temporary relief? You need to understand the game plan of the wicked one. He has no free gift for anyone. The bible says he came to steal, kill and destroy and not to offer any good thing.

Worship/praise God and then take the following prayer points:

1. I reject any satanic gift packaged against my destiny, in Jesus' name.

2. Any gift packaged by my enemy in order to steal my destiny, catch fire, in Jesus' name.

3. Any spiritual armed robber hired to rob me of my spiritual gifts and virtues, I command you to be arrested by the Holy Ghost, in Jesus' name.

4. Whatever gifts I had lost to the enemy due to negligence, I recover them, in Jesus' name.

5. Any power targeting to contaminate/pollute the gifts of God upon our G. O, our mummy in the Lord and their children; the Lord rebuke you, in Jesus' name.
