THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL...

TEXT: Ephesians 6:10-18, Psalm 79:11

THEME: THERE IS BATTLE TO BE FOUGHT

MESSAGE: 

"The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace. " (Exodus 14:14)

As had already been explained in the introductory analysis of the month we are into, there is going to be increased activities everywhere — on the highways, streets, market places, tourist centres and so on. This increase is a reaction that usually takes place during the 'ember' months. While people run helter-skelter to meet up with set objectives, desperate individuals who have no visible means of livelihood are also busy doing everything possible to realize their own 'dreams' of killing, maiming, duping etc. It is therefore unsurprising that more accidents take place; many more people get missing, ritual killings and kidnapping also - including women and children.

Remember, during this period, the devil pencils those he wants to take away their lives. The Psalmist was aware of this ploy of the devil and prayed that God should preserve those that are appointed to die. I do not know exactly the kind of evil the enemy is planning for you during this period. But by his antecedents, it is certain that his program remains to steal, to kill and to destroy. So, you need to know that this is not a time to sleep and slumber. It is a time when you have no option than to pray earnestly the way you never did.

You must come out of your comfort zone in order to engage in ceaseless prayer to ensure that you overcome all the wiles of the devil.

Worship/praise God and then take the following prayer points.

1. O God my Father, in this new month, release the enabling grace to continue to enjoy every benefit of serving you and being a true Chosen, in Jesus' name.

2. I decree that whatever you have laid in my charge; shall never be lost to the enemy. I pray for strength to occupy till you come, in Jesus' name.

3. Every program and plan of the enemy to take away what God has deposited in my hand; be frustrated, in Jesus name. Let every tactics of the devil to siphon my blessing end in disappointment, in Jesus' name.

4. Preserve my G. O, our mummy in the Lord and their children. Fight for them and give them victory on every front, in Jesus' name.
