ABUJA INTERNATIONAL CRUSADE – DAY 1. MESSAGE

THEME: GOD HAS SWORN TO BLESS YOU (PART 1)

TEXT: Genesis 22:16-18, Exodus 19:5, Jeremiah 32:27

Our Father in Heaven, the Almighty, the All Powerful, the Merciful, The Holy One of Israel, our Lord Jesus Christ has come to bless you and our nation. If we will confess our sins and that of our nation, He will bless us. He is ever ready to show mercy. In this programme today, He will show you mercy (Malachi 3:6).

Those before us, whenever they had sinned and realized their sins and asked for forgiveness, God always forgave. So, we need to repent and cry unto God for mercy and He will heal our land (2 Chronicles 7:13-15).

God is willing to bless us and heal us if we will repent (Genesis 24:1).

When the Lord takes an oath, He will never reverse it. Like Abraham, He will bless us.

We shall consider this message under the following sub-headings:
1. The Holy God, the unfortunate situation, our reasons and examples.
2. Our expected response and His oath.

POINT ONE: THE HOLY GOD, THE UNFORTUNATE SITUATION, OUR REASONS AND EXAMPLES

We should recall that God is the Creator of all things (Genesis 1:1, Psalms 121:2, Colossians 1:16-17, Genesis 1:26-28).

God created us to have fellowship with Him, for His pleasure (Revelation 4:11).

He created us in His own image (Genesis 3:1-6). He is holy and there is no unrighteousness with Him. He does not behold evil. He has asked us to be holy so He can be with us (Habakkuk 1:13, 1 Peter 1:15-16).

Anyone that wants God’s blessings must return to Him in repentance and have a Holy life.

Matthew 6:33. No matter what you are going through, if you want God’s blessings, you must live a righteous life.

Sin has separated us from God and as a result, God’s blessings are far from us. (Exodus 19:5. As we begin to do His will, He will bless us. God has taken oath to bless those that obey Him.

POINT TWO: OUR EXPECTED RESPONSE AND HIS OATH

No one can talk of real blessings and peace in isolation to God Almighty. His blessings make rich and adds no sorrow. Any thing outside Him brings sorrow. John 15:4-5

If you want to be successful, make Heaven at last, you must obey God otherwise, He won’t bless you. 2 Chronicles 15:1-2

If you turn away from God, He will turn away from you and there will be curses and destruction. Judges 6:1-6

At that time, in the land of Israel, they sinned against God and He handed them over to heir enemies till they repented. God has demanded for our repentance and for us to return to Him in holiness and righteousness and He will bless us. 2 Chronicles 7:13-15

God blessed Abraham because He obeyed His voice. If we obey Him, He will also bless us.

As we repent today on behalf of ourselves and the nation, God will bless us. See how we have been from independence till date. Genesis 22:16-18

Abraham obeyed God and God took an oath to bless him. Are you going to obey Him? His oath is standing forever for those that obey Him. Haggai 2:19, Matthew 6:33

You see today, God will bless you and make you a blessing in Jesus' name.
