THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL...
DATE: SUNDAY MAY 15TH, 2016.
TEXT: PSALM 1
THEME: NO MORE FOLDING OF THE HANDS
MEMORY VERSE: "6 Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise: 7 Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler, 8 Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest. 9 How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep? 10 Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep: 11 So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man." (Proverbs 6:6-11)
MESSAGE:
There are believers who still fold their hands expecting manna to fall from heaven instead of looking for something to lay their hands upon. This is the reason why many are poor even though the word of God says otherwise.
God does not bless in a vacuum. He blesses that which you lay your hands upon. So, you must go out there and get something to lay your hands upon. It might not really matter how small it is. God says He will prosper it. Procrastinate no further.
You must make efforts to discover the talent that God has given you. Discover the area in which you can function effectively and then set out to work.
Sing a few praise/worship songs. Pray and thank God and then ask for forgiveness of sins and take the following prayer points.
Prayer Points:
1. Any spirit of laziness operating in my life, come out and enter no more in Jesus' name.
2. Any spirit of procrastination working in my life, I cast you out, in Jesus' name.
3. Any power operating at the point of decision, I bind you; I bind your power in Jesus' name.
4. Any power assigned to hinder the program of God for my life, receive frustration in Jesus' name.
I decree and declare; I shall be what God says I shall be in Jesus' name.
