COMBINED SUNDAY SERVICE MESSAGE AT TLCCRM INT'L HQ, IJESHA, LAGOS, NIGERIA - 8/5/2016
PREACHER: PST LAZARUS MUOKA
THEME: AS A GREAT DAY IS APPROACHING
TEXT: Luke 21:7-38, Malachi 4:5, Matthew 17:12, Hebrews 10:34-37
INTRODUCTION TO MESSAGE:
(Matthew 24:1-3, 7-8). If you have been following the world's trends, you will notice that these signs had already began. (1 Timothy 4:1-3, 2 Timothy 3:1-5). I want to let you know that all we are hearing is being fulfilled before our very eyes.
We should start reminding ourselves that there is no more time, a perilous time, a time for the anti-Christ. We need to escape from these things. Search yourself as we go through this message so that Satan will not ask you, you later came here? (Romans 13:11-14, 1 Thessalonians 5:2-8).
For more insight into this message, we shall consider the following points;
1. THE SIGNS EVERYWHERE AND OUR PRIMARY CONCERN:
Many prophecies are being fulfilled everyday (Malachi 4:5-6, Matthew 17:11-13). If anybody miss the rapture, such person will wait for anti-christ, and if they collect the mark of the beast, it is a total disaster such person cannot enter heaven.
(Matthew 23:28, 24:21-23). It will be too terrible for any believer to be here when the anti-christ will take over (Revelation 13:16-18). As you can see today, everything that we have read from chapters above is over fulfilled. Few years ago, we heard about tsunami, famine, Ebola, Economic crisis etc. and if you are still thinking that it will be fine, you are joking, prepare for the coming of the Lord.
I want you to take note; we must do everything possible not to miss rapture. We must not allow people around us to remain ignorant of this fact (Amos 4:12)
2. OUR EXPECTED RESPONSE AND DANGER OF NEGLECT
We should search our lives and make restitution where necessary. We should run away from sin, be sure that nothing is standing against us with God (2 Corinthians 13:5, Jeremiah 7:3-7).
The Lord is calling for amendment, no matter you status, you need to examine yourself inside and outside and amend your ways (Exodus 19:10-11, 1 Peter 1:15-16, Hebrew 12:14, 1 Thessalonians 5:23). We must pray season and out of season, in the night or in the day, prayers matters a lot.
If we want to succeed in this world and also make heaven we need to read our bible (Joshua 1:7-8), God is always waiting for us to pray (Psalm 50:15, Isaiah 65:24) and He is ready to answer (John 14:13, Matthew 7:7-8).
As long as we are still here in the world we must resist the evils with prayers until we are taken away (Matthew 18:18, 2 Thessalonians 2:7-8).
As a Christian, we must preach the gospel everywhere we find ourselves (Mark 15:16, 2 Timothy 4:2), when you serve God, He will service you (John 4:34-36, Isaiah 59:1-2).
CONCLUSION:
For those that are yet to be born again, you should repent (Romans 3:23, 6:23, Ezekiel 18:4). A Christian is not a sinner and a sinner is not a Christian (1 John 3:8-10). Search your life and if you are asking what is sin, all unrighteousness is sin (1 John 5:17a).
Cursing people, backbiting, hatred, envy, speaking evil of other people, witchcraft, all these are terrible sin. Are you into fraud, duping people, a thief, armed robber, kidnapper, terrorist, killers are terrible sin before God.
Search your life, are you a prostitute, into masturbation, fornication, abortion, homosexual or lesbianism these are wickedness. Amend your ways. Are you into bleaching you body, applying makeups or you are into wrong marriage, you have more than one wife/husband. Remember, marriage is for better for worst and it is for male and female (Matthew 19: 4-6).
Don’t go to church because others are going there; be sure that you are in church to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal savior. If you are entangled with materials things like ornaments, attachments, jewelries and decorating yourself to seduce others, stop such life for it is not of God (Deuteronomy 22:5, Jeremiah 4:30, Exodus 12:13, John 1:29). Jesus is our Messiah, if we believe in Him; we will not perish (John 3:16, John 14:6, John 10:10b, Matthew 11:28). If you come to Jesus today, power will be given to you (John 1:12, 1 Corinthians 5:17, Romans 10:13).
