TOPIC: THE MONTH OF BREAKTHROUGH AND POSSESS - Part 4
INTRODUCTION TO THE MESSAGE:
So far, we have seen how the people of God had breakthrough, overcame their problems and possessed their possessions. We believed that whosoever has listened to the previous messages and the prayers would have breakthrough and possess their possessions.
For better understanding of the message, we shall consider the following points:
1. HOW ESTHER AND THE JEWS GOT THEIR BREAKTHROUGH:
The Jews in the days of King Ahasuerus had favour and breakthrough because of Esther and Mordecai. (Esther (2:15-18, 21-23; 6:1-6). The people were blessed because Esther, Mordecai and the Jews delighted in righteousness and for this reason, refused to worship Haman after his promotion thereby making Haman furious and he wanted to destroy the Jews (Esther 3:1-6; Exodus 20:5; Esther 3:8-13; 4:1-1). Esther wanted to give excuses or why she shouldn't help to save the Jews from Haman because of the law but, Mordecai made it known to her that it might be the reason why she was made queen in the kingdom at such point in time. (Esther 4:13-14) . As a result of Mordecai's persuasion, Esther decided to go to king with fasting and prayers and when she did, they had breakthrough. (Esther 4:15-16; 5:1,8; 7:1-10; 8:1-6,9; Esther 9:17-19). As we believe in the victory of Esther, we also shall be victorious in Jesus' name.
2. OUR APPLICATION AND BENEFITS:
As many who are truly born again, we have found favour in God through Jesus and for this reason, the enemy has come to steal away our joy. Ephesians 1:3; Philippians 4:19; John 10:10. This is why we have so many problems around us today - physically, spiritually, financially, materially, academically etc. The enemy is not fighting us alone, he is also fighting our people and all that belongs to us. 1 Peter 5:8. We should not fold our hands and watch the devil steal what belongs to us and our people.
Those in such position as Esther should use such position to obtain breakthrough, in this time, they should not fold their hands and be destroyed with their people. 1 Samuel 30:1-6,18-19. As Esther and her people fasted for three days without food and water, we also should do likewise and our sorrows shall be turned into joy (Esther 9:22).
For those who are not yet born again and backsliders, they should repent and give their lives to Jesus Christ, accept Him as their Lord and saviour (1 John 3:8-9; 1 John 5:17).
