TUESDAY REVIVAL HOUR MESSAGE
DATE:16/02/2016
TOPIC: THE MONTH OF FABULOUS BLESSINGS - PART 3
TEXT: Exodus 3:8; Deuteronomy 6:3; Deuteronomy 26:9; Deuteronomy 27:3
INTRODUCTION TO THE MESSAGE:
In our previous messages on this theme (Part 1 & 2), we saw the good and large land aspects of God's promises to the children of Israel over Jordan and through those messages, we also saw that the good land represents God's miniature kingdom here on earth and the large land represents God's large family and great provision in His kingdom.
For better understanding of this message, we shall consider the following subheadings;
1: THE MESSAGE EXPLAINED AND REASONS.
The land flowing with milk is an aspect of God's promises to the Israelites and will be better explained as the land which the Lord cares for (Deuteronomy 11:10-12). God cares for all His children just as a nursing mother feeds her child with her milk as a matter of nourishment (1 Peter 5:7; 1 Peter 2:2). God's promise of giving the Israelites the land flowing with milk represent His constant provision from year to year as nourishment to them over Jordan.
Brethren, tonight's message will enable us to have some insight on the law and grace, the law is by work while grace is a gift and as children of God, the things we have are gifts from God and we have no power to boast over them (Deuteronomy 8:17-18; Deuteronomy 6:10-13; Deuteronomy 8:7-11-14). It is evident therefore, that the Lord gave the Israelites all they needed in the promised land (as milk of nourishment over Jordan). Remember that whatever they became or had over Jordan were made by the Lord. Mathew 6:33
2: OUR APPLICATION AND BENEFITS
Many who don't understand this explanation, though they are children of God, have been working and suffering without anything to show for their labour and as a result, they have backslidden from the work of God and relationship with God. (Hosea 4:6; John15:4-5; Deuteronomy 8:18). On the other hand, as many who have understood this fact explained above, have surrendered everything to the Lord as obedient children and are serving Him without reservation, and as a result, God has been breastfeeding them with the milk of nourishment in everything in His kingdom here on earth. (John 8:31;1 Peter 5:7; Deuteronomy 8:18)
Therefore, as we all begin to see ourselves as children of the good and big kingdom of the most high God, we should depend on Him for nourishment and ask Him to nourish us from year to year with every good things he will always do it for us. So, ask whatever you desire from God now, it shall be done for you in Jesus name (Joshua 1:1-5; Mathew 7:7-8; Isaiah 34:16)
For those who are not yet in that kingdom (born again)and backsliders, they should confess their sins, turn away from them and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and personal saviour (Proverb 28:13; 1 John 5:17; Mathew 6:33; John 14:6; John 14:6; John 3:3;16;1 John 1:12; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Romans 10:13).
