TEXT: 2 Chronicles 20:22-24
22 And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.
23 For the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of mount Seir, utterly to slay and destroy them: and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, every one helped to destroy another.
24 And when Judah came toward the watch tower in the wilderness, they looked unto the multitude, and, behold, they were dead bodies fallen to the earth, and none escaped.
MEMORY VERSE: Then spake Joshua to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon. And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day. Joshua 10:12-13
MESSAGE:
One of the striking testimonies in the recently concluded crusade in Portharcourt, Rivers State was that of a young lady who gave birth to quadruplets without going to hospital for one day for antenatal care. She carried the pregnancy for nine months without a single gynecologist or even a general medical practitioner examining her to know the state of her Health and that of the foetus in her womb. The strange part of whole matter was that she did not know she had more than one foetus in her womb. She carried the pregnancy for nine full months without going to hospital, no scan, no medical attention.
It was on the day of her delivery, when the labour started, she went to a local, untrained, traditional midwife to be delivered of the babies. In the house of the midwife she was about to lie down to push, one of the babies came out and nearly dropped on the floor.
The midwife held the baby and told her there was another one. In that order four babies came out. The babies were strong and healthy. In most cases, pregnant mothers carrying more than one foetus are given extra care medically. More often than not they never last nine months in the womb. When they are born some will go to incubator.
The husband of this lady is not well to do hence God took care of the situation. There was no money for basic medical care hence they depended on prayer and God did it. Only God Can Do This. When you fully depend on God telling Him you have no power of your own, that you depend on Him, it is then that God will arise and prove Himself, This was exactly the case with this woman and her husband.
Depend on God in every matter that befall you, He will arise and prove His power in your life.
In the text above, God fought for King Jehoshaphat as he organized praise singers for God. God fought for Joshua in the memory verse. God will also fight for you if you depend on Him.
PRAYER POINTS:
Pray that God will prove His power in your life as you depend on Him.
Ask God not to allow any problem bigger than you to come to you.
AMEND YOUR WAYS: If you are not born again you must do something as a matter of urgency. He that commits sin is of the devil (1 John 3:8). If you are into lying, cheating, bitterness, keeping malice, pride, manifesting anger, quarreling, unforgiveness, hatred, envy, contention, strife, gossiping, taking or giving bribe, selfishness, kidnapping. If you are into masturbation, fornication, adultery, prostitution, abortion, lesbianism, homosexuality, you need to repent. Are you into idolatry, do you make or use charms, rituals, bow down to images, Are you into occultism? Do you smoke cigarette, cocaine, heroine? Are you lusting, covetous, alcohol drinking, divorcee or into worldliness?, you must stop bleaching your body, or painting your lips, eyes, fixing attachments, weave-on, earrings (Gen 35:2-4) Are you one of those that put on nude dresses, short skirts, transparent dresses to seduce (A seducer is not a Christian) do you wear trouser as a woman? Repent and give your life to Jesus Christ.
LET'S PRAY: If you want to give your life to JESUS pray this short prayer with me: Almighty God, I come unto you in the name of Jesus. Father I confess that I am a sinner. All my sins I confess to you. I am very sorry for all my sins. Lord I promise you that from today I will never continue in them anymore. I believe that Jesus Christ died and rose again on the third day for my justification. Almighty God, use the blood of Jesus to wash my sins away. Lord Jesus, come into my heart, be my Lord and Personal Savior. I surrender my life to you. Cancel my name from the book of death and give me grace to make Heaven. AMEN!
