THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL...

DATE: TUESDAY, 22ND SEPTEMBER 2015.

THEME: CHANGE IS ESSENTIAL FOR GROWTH.

TEXT: John 9:1, 6-7
1 And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.

6 When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay,

7 And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.

MEMORY VERSE: And, behold, there was a man which had his hand withered. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath days? that they might accuse him. And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out? Then saith he to the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it forth; and it was restored whole, like as the other. Matthew 12:10-11,13.

MESSAGE:
Change is an essential ingredient of growth. Success and growth are unlikely to come if you always do things the way you have been doing them. Whenever one stops changing, one stop growing.
Our Lord Jesus Christ did not keep to one pattern of healing during his earthly ministry. To one blind man He made the spittle from sand, anointed the eyes of the blind man and asked him to go and wash his face in the pool of Siloam. As the man came back, he was seeing. To another he said your faith has made you well.
The woman of issue of blood only touched the tip of his dress and she became healed.
In the memory verses, He told the noble man to go that his son is healed.
You should not stick to one system of doing things, you have the capacity to make changes, find varieties. Again, you are not expected to stick to the business you started with when it is obvious that it is not moving. Each time new fund is injected into it instead of improvement the money will still go down the drain. It is not the will of God that you glue yourself to one employment since you graduated even though you are not been paid well. Even if you are well paid you still look for greener pasture. The more you move from one job to the other the more you gain experience and the more your pay package increases.
Never you be stationary, do not be stagnant, change is essential for growth and you must grow.

PRAYER POINTS:
* Pray that God will always direct you to the platform of change.

* Pray that you will not miss any opportunity for change and improvement.

AMEND YOUR WAYS:
If you are not born again you must do something as a matter of urgency. He that commits sin is of the devil (1 John 3:8).
If you are into lying, cheating, bitterness, keeping malice, pride, manifesting anger, quarreling, unforgiveness, hatred, envy, contention, strife, gossiping, taking or giving bribe, selfishness,
kidnapping. If you are into masturbation, fornication, adultery, prostitution, abortion, lesbianism, homosexuality, you need to repent.
Are you into idolatry, do you make or use charms, rituals, bow down to images, Are you into occultism?
Do you smoke cigarette, cocaine, heroine? Are you lusting, covetous, alcohol drinking, divorcee or into worldliness?, you must stop bleaching your body, or painting your lips, eyes, fixing attachments, weave-on, earrings (Gen 35:2-4)
Are you one of those that put on nude dresses, short skirts, transparent dresses to seduce
(A seducer is not a Christian) do you wear trouser as a woman?
Repent and give your life to Jesus Christ.

LET'S PRAY:
If you want to give your life to JESUS pray this short prayer with me:
Almighty God, I come unto you in the name of Jesus. Father I confess that I am a sinner. All my sins I confess to you. I am very sorry for all my sins.
Lord I promise you that from today I will never continue in them anymore.
I believe that Jesus Christ died and rose again on the third day for my justification. Almighty God, use the blood of Jesus to wash my sins away. Lord Jesus, come into my heart, be my Lord and Personal Savior.
I surrender my life to you.
Cancel my name from the book of death and give me grace to make Heaven. AMEN!
