TOPIC: HUMILITY IS THE KEY
TEXT: Matthew 18:1-4, Philippians 2:4-5, James 4:6-7,10.
Many people have been desiring and asking questions like the apostles of old, who is the greatest in the kingdom? Hebrew 12:14, Matthew 5:8, 1 Peter 1:15 Looking at all these chapters and verses, heaven is holy and it's inhabitants are holy. Holiness is the key to make heaven. Isaiah 35:8-10, Isaiah 6:1-3, Matthew 25:31, Revelation 18:20. All that are in heaven are holy prophet, angels, spirits. Some may not be wrong that through holiness we can enter heaven but the apostles seem not to be satisfied with this alone, that is why they asked the question.
POINTS TO CONSIDER
POINT 1: THE GREATEST EXPLAINED AND REASONS
Question every reasonable person or believer will want our master Jesus Christ answer would be on holiness, but that surprised all by pointing to humility, demonstrating with a little child for one to be converted and behave like a little child, it's through absolute humility, it makes for eternity and also the greatest in the kingdom of heaven, no one can make heaven without humility LUKE 19:1-10 Zacheaus was a very rich man who climbed up to see Jesus and was joyful, he restored all the goods to the poor.
We should be humble to ensure purity and holiness, a proud person is someone that is down, that needed help, if someone is proud, it appears that he or she has arrived, with suspicious mind, that person can't find grace to listen and hear from God. James 4:6, God always opposes them and resist them from having their way. The Devil comes with pride, makes one to feel that he or she have all things when you have nothing.
Humility will expose you to helpers, nobody wants to help a proud person.
Humility will make you to keep to the rules, make you to fear God and automatically, you are attaining to holiness.
POINT 2: OUR EXPECTED RESPONSE AND BENEFITS
Whoever that wants to be humble must learn from the word of God, must be teachable and obedient , 1 Corinthians 15:10, obeying the totality of the word for us to be holy, it is by the grace of God Phil 4:13, do you know that some people are thinking that holiness can not be achieved in this present life, we can live holy life, maintain righteousness by the grace of God.
Imagine someone who can not come to church on time, doesn't come regularly, not committed to the things of God. How can such person be holy? Deuteronomy 28:1
Also why many cannot be rich or blessed in life is that they are not humble, many cannot receive anything from God because of pride. Devil was cast out from heaven because of his proudness.
Humility is like the master key to attain any growth in the sight of God, Matthew 5:3,6. Let us make up our mind to obey, keep to instructions, you will receive grace for holiness, keep this teaching in your heart, be committed Ezekiel 18:4, Romans 6:1-2, 1John 3:8, anybody that continues in Sin shall die spiritually 1John5:17a.
AMEND YOUR WAYS:
If you are not born again you must do something as a matter of urgency. He that commits sin is of the devil (1 John 3:8).
If you are into lying, cheating, bitterness, keeping malice, pride, manifesting anger, quarreling, unforgiveness, hatred, envy, contention, strife, gossiping, taking or giving bribe, selfishness,
kidnapping. If you are into masturbation, fornication, adultery, prostitution, abortion, lesbianism, homosexuality, you need to repent.
Are you into idolatry, do you make or use charms, rituals, bow down to images, Are you into occultism?
Do you smoke cigarette, cocaine, heroine? Are you lusting, covetous, alcohol drinking, divorcee or into worldliness?, you must stop bleaching your body, or painting your lips, eyes, fixing attachments, weave-on, earrings (Gen 35:2-4)
Are you one of those that put on nude dresses, short skirts, transparent dresses to seduce
(A seducer is not a Christian) do you wear trouser as a woman?
Repent and give your life to Jesus Christ.

Almighty God, I come unto you in the name of Jesus. Father I confess that I am a sinner. All my sins I confess to you. I am very sorry for all my sins.
Lord I promise you that from today I will never continue in them anymore.
I believe that Jesus Christ died and rose again on the third day for my justification. Almighty God, use the blood of Jesus to wash my sins away. Lord Jesus, come into my heart, be my Lord and Personal Savior.
I surrender my life to you.
Cancel my name from the book of death and give me grace to make Heaven. AMEN!
