THEME: SERVE GOD HIS WAY, NOT YOUR OWN WAY
TEXT: Romans 10:1-3
1 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.
2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.
3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
MEMORY VERSE: The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? Jeremiah 17:9
MESSAGE:
Nowadays almost everybody claim to be Christian and born-again; but the life of people on the streets, eateries, schools, offices, even at home puts a lie to that claim. When the life of a man negates the principles of the Bible, how can he be a Christian? He is nothing but a hypocrite and deserves the judgment of God.
No one does anything he likes and remain a child of God. There are set rules that govern every believer irrespective of race, tribe, social statue, professional height or affluence. From America to Europe, Asia, to the Middle East to Australia to Africa- the word of God and His standard are the same.
On that day, it will be one righteous judge (GOD) and the sentence cannot be appealed against, and the judgment will be so plain and the evidence against the sinner will be error proof. The standard of God’s judgment will be the same for everyone- presidents, prime ministers, parliamentarians, honourable men and women, captains of industries, PHD holders, ambassadors, General Overseers, Pastors, artisans, beggars on the street, the rich and the poor, white men and black men. There will be no respect no persons.
Any service to God that negates His holy attribute is totally unacceptable and no effect. And so, let us examine ourselves and with humility follow God according to His standard. You must choose whom you will serve today whether the true God or the god or this world. If you want to enjoy enternity in heaven, work – out your salvation now with fear and trembling.
The pleasures of this life are destructive and misleading, so do not cling to them. They are also temporal and set a man against His maker.
A popular song says when we walk with the Lord, in the light of His word, what a glory He sheds on our way. Let us therefore serve this God of Chosen according to His word and it will be well with us.
PRAYER POINTS:
* Pray for divine enablement to serve God accordingly to His will
AMEND YOUR WAYS:
If you are not born again you must do something as a matter of urgency. He that commits sin is of the devil (1 John 3:8).
If you are into lying, cheating, bitterness, keeping malice, pride, manifesting anger, quarreling, unforgiveness, hatred, envy, contention, strife, gossiping, taking or giving bribe, selfishness,
kidnapping. If you are into masturbation, fornication, adultery, prostitution, abortion, lesbianism, homosexuality, you need to repent.
Are you into idolatry, do you make or use charms, rituals, bow down to images, Are you into occultism?
Do you smoke cigarette, cocaine, heroine? Are you lusting, covetous, alcohol drinking, divorcee or into worldliness?, you must stop bleaching your body, or painting your lips, eyes, fixing attachments, weave-on, earrings (Gen 35:2-4)
Are you one of those that put on nude dresses, short skirts, transparent dresses to seduce
(A seducer is not a Christian) do you wear trouser as a woman?
Repent and give your life to Jesus Christ.
LET'S PRAY:
If you want to give your life to JESUS pray this short prayer with me:
Almighty God, I come unto you in the name of Jesus. Father I confess that I am a sinner. All my sins I confess to you. I am very sorry for all my sins.
Lord I promise you that from today I will never continue in them anymore.
I believe that Jesus Christ died and rose again on the third day for my justification. Almighty God, use the blood of Jesus to wash my sins away. Lord Jesus, come into my heart, be my Lord and Personal Savior.
I surrender my life to you.
Cancel my name from the book of death and give me grace to make Heaven. AMEN!
