THEME: BE A CHANNEL TO HELP OTHERS.
TEXT: Romans 15:1-3
1 We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.
2 Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.
3 For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me.
14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
MEMORY VERSE:
Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Philippians 2:4-5
MESSAGE:
We are not saved to fold our hands rather we are saved to help others know Christ and thus come into God's family. Our Lord Jesus Christ, after asking Peter three times if he loved Him, charged him (Peter) to feed His lamb.
The God of chosen requires every one of us to help bring others into our fold - the Chosen generation and a royal priesthood.
On the other hand, has God put wealth in your hands? Has He placed you in a big position in the society? That could be your ministry to help those in genuine need, to support the work of God? Before you conclude that it is well with you, how many people have you touched their lives for the sake of heaven? How many have you put smiles on their faces because you came their way?
It must be clear to us that stingy people are walking on a thin rope to heaven. The Bible counsels that we should not be weary in well doing. If you keep your wealth within your family as a believer, it will be hard for you to make heaven because you are acting contrary to the will of God.
To be on the safe side, we have a way of extending help to others in the Chosen without exposing our identity in order not to harm our spiritual life.
We are always counseled to give our gift to others through woman leaders for sisters or through our pastor or house care leaders so that the receiver will not know the giver. We all should adhere to this standing rule in the church so that God will bless us as we help others.
Moreover, we are also expected to help the brethren who are spiritually weak or on the verge of backsliding because of their trials. We can help such people through fasting and prayer and visitation. This is well pleasing to God and as we do so, such brothers and sisters will be encouraged not to loose their salvation.
PRAYER POINTS:
* Pray and come against every spirit of selfishness.
* Pray and ask God for a liberal heart.
AMEND YOUR WAYS:
If you are not born again you must do something as a matter of urgency. He that commits sin is of the devil (1 John 3:8).
If you are into lying, cheating, bitterness, keeping malice, pride, manifesting anger, quarreling, unforgiveness, hatred, envy, contention, strife, gossiping, taking or giving bribe, selfishness,
kidnapping. If you are into masturbation, fornication, adultery, prostitution, abortion, lesbianism, homosexuality, you need to repent.
Are you into idolatry, do you make or use charms, rituals, bow down to images, Are you into occultism?
Do you smoke cigarette, cocaine, heroine? Are you lusting, covetous, alcohol drinking, divorcee or into worldliness?, you must stop bleaching your body, or painting your lips, eyes, fixing attachments, weave-on, earrings (Gen 35:2-4)
Are you one of those that put on nude dresses, short skirts, transparent dresses to seduce
(A seducer is not a Christian) do you wear trouser as a woman?
Repent and give your life to Jesus Christ.
LET'S PRAY:
If you want to give your life to JESUS pray this short prayer with me:
Almighty God, I come unto you in the name of Jesus. Father I confess that I am a sinner. All my sins I confess to you. I am very sorry for all my sins.
Lord I promise you that from today I will never continue in them anymore.
I believe that Jesus Christ died and rose again on the third day for my justification. Almighty God, use the blood of Jesus to wash my sins away. Lord Jesus, come into my heart, be my Lord and Personal Savior.
I surrender my life to you.
Cancel my name from the book of death and give me grace to make Heaven. AMEN!
