THEME: TOTAL SUBMISSION TO GOD
TEXT: James 4:7
7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
MEMORY VERSE: Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5-6
MESSAGE:
We all are created for God's pleasure and to do His will. Any believer who does not have this understanding can hardly please God. He did put us on the planet earth to pursue a career or business to the detriment of our fellowship with Him. The Bible counsels us to cut our hands or pluck out our eyes if they will hamper our fellowship with God.
Submitting ourselves to God simply means putting Him first in everything we do. It means satisfying him first before satisfying ourselves. It also means enduring everything that comes our way because we are truly serving God. If you serve Him at your own convenience, that is partial loyalty and this is not acceptable to God. In other words, what has heavenly race cost you? If it has not cost you anything, you have not started and time is not running out.
When we submit ourselves to God, we depend on Him for everything and in every situation. There will be no room for murmuring and complaining. If you are sick and He heals you, give thanks; if He has not healed you and the sickness is still there, give even more thanks to Him
This is total submission to Him and well accepted. Submission to God is collapsing our will into His own will and total dependence on Him. It calls for loving God above all other things as well as being joyful when He rebukes us.
The prophets of old as well as the apostles all submitted to Him and were never disappointed and He will never disappoint us as we trust Him with all our heart. The Shunamite woman trusted the servant of God Elijah and that single action activated the power of God that restored the life of her dead son.
The power of God and His glory will best manifest when we put all our confidence in Him. No matter what brought you to the Chosen, and there is no respite yet, serve Him the more, submit everything to Him, worship Him in the beauty of Holiness.
PRAYER POINTS:
* Promise God that henceforth, you will submit totally to Him.
* Pray for the grace for total submission to God.
AMEND YOUR WAYS:
If you are not born again you must do something as a matter of urgency. He that commits sin is of the devil (1 John 3:8).
If you are into lying, cheating, bitterness, keeping malice, pride, manifesting anger, quarreling, unforgiveness, hatred, envy, contention, strife, gossiping, taking or giving bribe, selfishness,
kidnapping. If you are into masturbation, fornication, adultery, prostitution, abortion, lesbianism, homosexuality, you need to repent.
Are you into idolatry, do you make or use charms, rituals, bow down to images, Are you into occultism?
Do you smoke cigarette, cocaine, heroine? Are you lusting, covetous, alcohol drinking, divorcee or into worldliness?, you must stop bleaching your body, or painting your lips, eyes, fixing attachments, weave-on, earrings (Gen 35:2-4)
Are you one of those that put on nude dresses, short skirts, transparent dresses to seduce
(A seducer is not a Christian) do you wear trouser as a woman?
Repent and give your life to Jesus Christ.
LET'S PRAY:
If you want to give your life to JESUS pray this short prayer with me:
Almighty God, I come unto you in the name of Jesus. Father I confess that I am a sinner. All my sins I confess to you. I am very sorry for all my sins.
Lord I promise you that from today I will never continue in them anymore.
I believe that Jesus Christ died and rose again on the third day for my justification. Almighty God, use the blood of Jesus to wash my sins away. Lord Jesus, come into my heart, be my Lord and Personal Savior.
I surrender my life to you.
Cancel my name from the book of death and give me grace to make Heaven. AMEN!
