THEME: WHEN YOU SEEM TIRED OF GOD
MEMORY VERSE:
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you:and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Matthew. 28:20
TEXT: John 6:66-69
66 From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.
67 Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?
68 Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.
69 And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.
MESSAGE
It is tempting for a child of God to feel abandoned, forgotten or not cared for. This is common when we begin to experience the opposite of what we expect or pray for over time. You can imagine a waiting couple who have handed over their life and destiny to God, believing and trusting that the Almighty Creator will not fail to hear their prayer.
You can imagine when such brethren go to church and listen to wonderful testimonies of what God has done in the live of others in different aspect of life. They believe, clap and rejoice; yet their condition, in their eyes and before others, remains the same. This is where the real test of Christianity resides. It is challenges of life that really show how deep a Christian's faith is. Of course, one cannot say one has triumphed without passing through a major obstacle.
In the Scripture we read, we saw how some of Jesus' disciples began a retreat after hearing His sermon. Jesus preached in the Synagogue concerning some rich, inner truths of the spirit which, apparently was beyond the comprehension of the people. They became so uncomfortable that they felt the best way to react to it was to go back. If they could take such drastic decision after listening to Jesus Himself, you can imagine what will be the reaction of our brethren today when they feel disappointed or feel that they are tired of God.
This should not be your portion in Jesus Name. In that situation you find yourself and it seems God has abandoned you, there is element of God's presence in the matter. God has a way of doing His things. Sometimes it is necessary for adverse circumstances to manifest so that the faith of the child of God can be tested and proved.
When you have a feeling of being tired of God, know it is the Devil working against your destiny. He is in the business of taking you away from your track to the Kingdom and will therefore make you to see a future that has nothing in stock for you. That is when to react like Simon Peter: "Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God."
PRAYER POINTS:
* Renew your vow to serve God under any circumstances and tell Him you always trust Him because He has the words of eternal life.
* Tell that problem, "I am a Chosen" (3 times) and ask it (by its name) "who are you?"
AMEND YOUR WAYS:
If you are not born again you must do something as a matter of urgency. He that commits sin is of the devil (1 John 3:8).
If you are into lying, cheating, bitterness, keeping malice, pride, manifesting anger, quarreling, unforgiveness, hatred, envy, contention, strife, gossiping, taking or giving bribe, selfishness,
kidnapping. If you are into masturbation, fornication, adultery, prostitution, abortion, lesbianism, homosexuality, you need to repent.
Are you into idolatry, do you make or use charms, rituals, bow down to images, Are you into occultism?
Do you smoke cigarette, cocaine, heroine? Are you lusting, covetous, alcohol drinking, divorcee or into worldliness?, you must stop bleaching your body, or painting your lips, eyes, fixing attachments, weave-on, earrings (Gen 35:2-4)
Are you one of those that put on nude dresses, short skirts, transparent dresses to seduce
(A seducer is not a Christian) do you wear trouser as a woman?
Repent and give your life to Jesus Christ.
LET'S PRAY:
If you want to give your life to JESUS pray this short prayer with me:
Almighty God, I come unto you in the name of Jesus. Father I confess that I am a sinner. All my sins I confess to you. I am very sorry for all my sins.
Lord I promise you that from today I will never continue in them anymore.
I believe that Jesus Christ died and rose again on the third day for my justification. Almighty God, use the blood of Jesus to wash my sins away. Lord Jesus, come into my heart, be my Lord and Personal Savior.
I surrender my life to you.
Cancel my name from the book of death and give me grace to make Heaven. AMEN!
