THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL...

DATE: FRIDAY, 26 FEBRUARY, 2016.

THEME: TAKE HEED TO WHAT YOU HAVE HEARD.

TEXT: Hebrews 2:1-4
1. Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.

2. For if the word spoken by angels was steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward;

3. How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;

4. God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?

MEMORY VERSE: Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us. Luke 12:5

MESSAGE:
To whom much is given, much is expected. Everything you need to know to help you make heaven has been preached to you here. What you hear in this place, you cannot hear it somewhere else. So make good use of what you hear here, apply them to your day to day activities. If you diligently obey what you learn here, you will never make a mistake.
There is no day I do not preach to you about total righteousness. Righteousness will see you through in every area of your life. So strive to live right wherever you may find yourself.

The text for today says Hebrews 2:1 "Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at anytime we should let them slip..."

If you don't give earnest heed to what you have heard, they may slip from you. That is why you need to give heed and also practice what you have heard. Practicing what you have learnt will make you master it because practice makes perfect.

James 1:25 "But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in all his deed." God is much more interested in those that will hear and do, not hearers only. When Bible says "Take heed to what you have heard" it is telling you to practice the teachings you have received, because it is by so doing you get blessing and honour.

Our Lord Jesus Christ is counselling you In today's memory verse to fear God who has power to kill and also cast into hell fire. How do you fear Him? By keeping and obeying the commandments of God
I enjoin you through today's devotional to take proper heed to what you have heard so that God will continue to bless you.

PRAYER POINTS:
Ask for the grace to be a doer of the word.
Pray that you will not be careless with the Word  of God.

AMEND YOUR WAYS: If you are not born again you must do something as a matter of urgency. He that commits sin is of the devil (1 John 3:8). If you are into lying, cheating, bitterness, keeping malice, pride, manifesting anger, quarreling, unforgiveness, hatred, envy, contention, strife, gossiping, taking or giving bribe, selfishness, kidnapping. If you are into masturbation, fornication, adultery, prostitution, abortion, lesbianism, homosexuality, you need to repent. Are you into idolatry, do you make or use charms, rituals, bow down to images, Are you into occultism? Do you smoke cigarette, cocaine, heroine? Are you lusting, covetous, alcohol drinking, divorcee or into worldliness?, you must stop bleaching your body, or painting your lips, eyes, fixing attachments, weave-on, earrings (Gen 35:2-4) Are you one of those that put on nude dresses, short skirts, transparent dresses to seduce (A seducer is not a Christian) do you wear trouser as a woman? Repent and give your life to Jesus Christ.

LET'S PRAY: If you want to give your life to JESUS pray this short prayer with me: Almighty God, I come unto you in the name of Jesus. Father I confess that I am a sinner. All my sins I confess to you. I am very sorry for all my sins. Lord I promise you that from today I will never continue in them anymore. I believe that Jesus Christ died and rose again on the third day for my justification. Almighty God, use the blood of Jesus to wash my sins away. Lord Jesus, come into my heart, be my Lord and Personal Savior. I surrender my life to you. Cancel my name from the book of death and give me grace to make Heaven. AMEN!
