TEXT: Matthew 19:8
8 He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.
MEMORY VERSE: And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband: But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife. 1 Corinthians 7:10-11
MESSAGE:
Marriage is a mystery, that is, the coming together of husband and wife in a holy matrimony is a great mystery and very serious matter but most people toy with it- Many people go into marriage with ulterior motive. Some go into marriage because the woman is beautiful with straight legs combined with yellow/chocolate complexion and the man is handsome and tall. Others go into marriage because the man is rich and from a well-to-do family or educated or the woman is educated etc. Any marriage consummated, based on these qualities mentioned above will fail, though not in all cases but most of them are bound to fail because the attachment is on fleshly desires. That is why many marriages are broken today. That woman you think has figure 8 and that is why you married her by the time she gives birth to 2 or 3 children, she may become fat and shapeless. Then you will hate her because her nice physique has disappeared. Some people, because of this will divorce their wives. Marriage is more than beauty, handsomeness, elegant shape, riches, education etc from the beginnnng, God did not make it that any marriage should be broken because each marriage has spiritual (Godly) assignment to fulfill. Any marriage that is divorced or broken has disrupted the spiritual assignment and God will not be happy with such individuals.
Ephesians 5:31-32 "For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church."
Church is the bride of Jesus Christ. How terrible it will be for Christ to divorce, the church and vice-versa, you the so-called children of God, even some Pastors, bishops, deacons etc are into divorced marriages. Beware, it was not so from the beginning. Make amends now before it is too late.
PRAYER POINTS:
Pray that God will help you, protect and keep your marriage.
Pray that your marriage will be filled with love and your family with joy.
Make other prayers that are specific and peculiar to your own marriage.
AMEND YOUR WAYS: If you are not born again you must do something as a matter of urgency. He that commits sin is of the devil (1 John 3:8). If you are into lying, cheating, bitterness, keeping malice, pride, manifesting anger, quarreling, unforgiveness, hatred, envy, contention, strife, gossiping, taking or giving bribe, selfishness, kidnapping. If you are into masturbation, fornication, adultery, prostitution, abortion, lesbianism, homosexuality, you need to repent. Are you into idolatry, do you make or use charms, rituals, bow down to images, Are you into occultism? Do you smoke cigarette, cocaine, heroine? Are you lusting, covetous, alcohol drinking, divorcee or into worldliness?, you must stop bleaching your body, or painting your lips, eyes, fixing attachments, weave-on, earrings (Gen 35:2-4) Are you one of those that put on nude dresses, short skirts, transparent dresses to seduce (A seducer is not a Christian) do you wear trouser as a woman? Repent and give your life to Jesus Christ.
LET'S PRAY: If you want to give your life to JESUS pray this short prayer with me: Almighty God, I come unto you in the name of Jesus. Father I confess that I am a sinner. All my sins I confess to you. I am very sorry for all my sins. Lord I promise you that from today I will never continue in them anymore. I believe that Jesus Christ died and rose again on the third day for my justification. Almighty God, use the blood of Jesus to wash my sins away. Lord Jesus, come into my heart, be my Lord and Personal Savior. I surrender my life to you. Cancel my name from the book of death and give me grace to make Heaven. AMEN!
