TUESDAY REVIVAL HOUR MESSAGE  10/11/ 2015

TTEXT: Genesis 32:22-30, 2 Chronicles 7:13-15, Luke 18:1, 1 Timothy 4:6-10.

TOPIC: THE MONTH OF NOURISHMENT FROM ABOVE – PART 2

MESSAGE:
Remember, this is a month of prayer, a month we engage in spiritual exercise in order to be spiritual and nourished always. Tonight is a special night of prayer, and we know that prayer is a means of having fellowship with God, and a prayerful Christian cannot be carnal (Exodus 34:30-35). When we engage in spiritual exercise, we shall be a blessing to all around us and to our generation (Genesis 22:16-18).

For better insight, we shall view this message under the following points:

POINT 1: HOW JACOB BECAME A NATION THROUGH PRAYER:
We should understand that prayer is a spiritual exercise through which we are nourished every time by God, when one is prayerful, he/she must abound in the blessings of God for himself and others. Abraham, our father of faith had the same experience and through his prayer, Lot and his goods were spared in Sodom (Genesis 18:22-25). Also, we have been blessed through his prayer (Genesis 22:16-18). Brethren, every one of us must begin spiritual exercise through prayer, we must know that prayer changes situation. Let us begin to pray like our elders of old and we shall be blessed in Jesus’ Name (Galatians 5:16, 1 Timothy 4:6-10)

POINT 2: OUR RESPONSE AND BENEFITS:
Having known that the only sure and easiest way to spiritual nourishment is through prayer, we should follow the steps of our father of faith and be blessed (Romans 4:12, 17-22). Prayer is the key that unlocks the heaven's door (1 Peter 5:7, Mark 11:22-24). Situations are bad in many homes or families today because they do not pray, the same is applicable to their businesses, organizations, even in our nation and churches in particular, there is nothing prayer cannot do and as we pray for our nation's, families, church, pastor, and his family, for one another and for all our needs, the Lord will answer us and supply all our needs in Jesus’ Name.

For sinners and backsliders, they must confess their sins and repent, they should surrender their lives to Jesus Christ and receive Him as their Lord and Saviour (John 3:3, 16, Romans 6:23, 1 John 3:8-9, Proverb 28:13, John 1:12, Matthew 6:33, Romans 10:13, 2 Corinthians 5:17).
