THEME: WHAT GOD DEMANDS.
TEXT: Deuteronomy 8:1-2
1 All the commandments which I command thee this day shall ye observe to do, that ye may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers.
2 And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no.
MEMORY VERSE:
Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Israel? For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord GOD: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye. Ezekiel 18:31-32
MESSAGE:
In our walk with God as dear children, He requires us to obey the totality of His word so that it will be well with us. It is disobedience to the instruction of God that brought about the fall of Adam and Eve with its attendant consequences that still haunts humanity to this day. Prior to this time, the earth and its vegetation flourished and man had everything in abundance.
The glory of God covered the earth and man and there was no evil or trouble of any kind because there was regular fellowship between God and man.
Conversely, trouble started on the earth and over its inhabitants after Adam and Eve sinned and hid it. On the account of God's nature of compassion, He made a way for man's redemption by sending our Lord Jesus Christ to die for the entire humanity. Consequently, the lost glory upon man was restored.
For us to continue to have access to heaven and obtain results, we must keep all the commandments of God consistently. We are not saved to continue in sin as this would amount to crucifying the Lord the second time.
As children of light, we have to walk in the light of the word of God if we are to be happy and enjoy His blessings. Science tells us that the earth rotates on its axis, so think of what happen if the earth out of "disobedience" to the laws put in place by God, fails to rotate on its axis. The consequences will be cataclysmic.
In the same vein, when we deviate from the ways of God, overwhelming troubles will set in. All the troubles in our world today are as a result of wickedness of man and his refusal to toe the line of godliness and total submission to God. And so, a man outside Christ is full of crisis until he comes back to God in genuine repentance.
We must therefore serve God and walk with Him according to His will and not according to our own will if we want to enjoy sweet fellowship with Him.PRAYER POINTS:
* Pray fervently and ask God to circumcise your heart.
* Pray for the grace to walk with God in the light of His word.
AMEND YOUR WAYS:
If you are not born again you must do something as a matter of urgency. He that commits sin is of the devil (1 John 3:8).
If you are into lying, cheating, bitterness, keeping malice, pride, manifesting anger, quarreling, unforgiveness, hatred, envy, contention, strife, gossiping, taking or giving bribe, selfishness,
kidnapping. If you are into masturbation, fornication, adultery, prostitution, abortion, lesbianism, homosexuality, you need to repent.
Are you into idolatry, do you make or use charms, rituals, bow down to images, Are you into occultism?
Do you smoke cigarette, cocaine, heroine? Are you lusting, covetous, alcohol drinking, divorcee or into worldliness?, you must stop bleaching your body, or painting your lips, eyes, fixing attachments, weave-on, earrings (Gen 35:2-4)
Are you one of those that put on nude dresses, short skirts, transparent dresses to seduce
(A seducer is not a Christian) do you wear trouser as a woman?
Repent and give your life to Jesus Christ.
LET'S PRAY:
If you want to give your life to JESUS pray this short prayer with me:
Almighty God, I come unto you in the name of Jesus. Father I confess that I am a sinner. All my sins I confess to you. I am very sorry for all my sins.
Lord I promise you that from today I will never continue in them anymore.
I believe that Jesus Christ died and rose again on the third day for my justification. Almighty God, use the blood of Jesus to wash my sins away. Lord Jesus, come into my heart, be my Lord and Personal Savior.
I surrender my life to you.
Cancel my name from the book of death and give me grace to make Heaven.
AMEN!
