Image
THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL... DATE: Thursday, January 4 , 2018. TEXT: Proverbs 14:12 THEME: ONLY A LIFE IN CHRIST CAN BRING TRUE JOY MEMORISE: “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat" (Matthew 7:13) MESSAGE: The world and its many distractions can be very deceptive for the carnal soul. Many get caught up in the vanity that the world offers, they seek its many lusts such as; money, fame, power, pleasure, material possessions and many more. They forget that all these things are of fleeting value.  The fashion of today will not be the fashion of tomorrow. Many children of today do not know what a music or video tape/cassette player is or looks like. That is because new technology has replaced it. Yet some years back the ownership of a cassette or video player gave some people sleepless nights. Many people think that the attainment of all these thi...

THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL...THEME: LEARN TO BE JOYFUL IN ALL SITUATIONS

Image
THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL... DATE: Wednesday January 3rd, 2018. TEXT: 1 Peter 1:6-9 THEME: LEARN TO BE JOYFUL IN ALL SITUATIONS MEMORISE: “Rejoice in the Lord always; and again I say rejoice.” (Philippians 4:4) MESSAGE:  In this Month of Joy, we must remember the Lord's command that we should rejoice always. No matter the circumstance we find ourselves in, we must not allow the devil to steal our joy. When we are sad we open ourselves to discouragement, doubt, and faithlessness. Even in times of persecution, trials and temptation we should not allow ourselves to become overwhelmed. Admittedly this is easier said than done. How does one stay positive and joyful amid trails and temptation? Firstly, by remembering who you are.  You are the Lord's chosen one and the apple of His eye. If your earthly father will not allow you to undergo unnecessary pain or agony unless its absolutely necessary for your well-being, how much more our Father in Heave...

THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL...THEME: FEAR NOT! HE HAS PROMISED TO CROSS US OVER

Image
THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL... DATE: Tuesday, January 2 , 2018. TEXT: Hebrews 13: 5-6 THEME: FEAR NOT! HE HAS PROMISED TO CROSS US OVER MEMORISE: “In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.” (Psalm 56:4) It is common at the beginning of each new year for people to naturally feel apprehensive about what the future holds. Many are fearful that they will not achieve their set goals while others are fearful that the same old pattern of disappointment and failure witnessed in years past are likely to continue this year. Some people even fear that they will not even make through the new year. As human beings we are limited in our power to predict or see the future. We are also bombarded daily with bad news of various crisis happening all around us. It is therefore reasonable that we can sometimes feel uneasy about what the future has in store for us. However, as a true believer and child of God we shou...

THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL...... THEME: TIME FOR A FRESH START

Image
THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL DATE: Monday, January 1 , 2018. TEXT: Psalm 37:5 & Matthew 6:33 THEME: TIME FOR A FRESH START MEMORISE: “And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.”(Revelation 21:5) MESSAGE:  Chosen Praise the Lord! Once again the Lord has been gracious to us by allowing us to see the beginning of another year. We should not take this grace for granted at all. We all know of many people that we started the year 2017 with but are no more on this side of eternity. We also know of many who though they are still alive are in such dire situations that they can’t celebrate the New Year with joy. God however has been merciful to those that He has chosen to be His own. We should therefore be grateful for the gift of life and good health which no amount of money can ever buy. While many of us have cause to look back and thank God for His blessings in the...

THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL…THEME: ENTER INTO HIS GATES WITH THANKSGIVING

Image
THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL… DATE: Sunday, December 31st, 2017. TEXT: Psalm 100, Psalm 103:2. THEME: ENTER INTO HIS GATES WITH THANKSGIVING MEMORISE: What shall I render unto the LORD for all his benefits toward me? (Psalm 116:12) MESSAGE:   The Lord has safely brought us to the end of another year. All through the chaotic and unprecedented year, He fought all our battles and gave us victory on every side. Even those things that do not seem perfected, we have every sign that God is at work. The same routes we travelled on and arrived safely to our destinations, many people took the same routes, but were not that fortunate. Some ended up in mortuaries, hospitals, prisons, etc. The slight malaria, typhoid, diabetes, HIV, cancer, etc, that killed many people had no power over your life as the Lord healed you and preserved you. The fact that you are eating in plenty does not mean that others are not struggling or even praying as much as you do. It is just by H...

THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL…THEME: EVERYTHING GOD HAS WRITTEN ABOUT YOU HAS BEEN

Image
THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL… DATE: Saturday, December 30th, 2017. TEXT: John 20:31, John 21:25. THEME: EVERYTHING GOD HAS WRITTEN ABOUT YOU HAS BEEN WRITTEN MEMORISE: Pilate answered, What I have written I have written. (John 19:22) MESSAGE:   What were the events preceding the declaration of Pilate that what he had written had been written? The bible records, And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And the writing was, JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS. 20 This title then read many of the Jews: for the place where Jesus was crucified was nigh to the city: and it was written in Hebrew, and Greek, and Latin. 21 Then said the chief priests of the Jews to Pilate, Write not, The King of the Jews; but that he said, I am King of the Jews. 22 Pilate answered, What I have written I have written. Pilate had endorsed by the spirit of truth that prevailed upon his life coupled with the revelation of his wife, that Jesus Christ of Nazareth is the Ki...

THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL…THEME: THE LORD WILL TIE UP THEIR HANDS

Image
THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL… DATE: Friday, December 29th, 2017. TEXT: Psalm 91, Psalm 27:2 THEME: THE LORD WILL TIE UP THEIR HANDS MEMORISE: He disappointeth the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot perform their enterprise. (Job 5:12) MESSAGE:  The word 'crafty' can be used to describe the activities of the devil, his fallen agents and the entire kingdom of darkness including their human agents, which work to siphon, seize, hijack, upturn and oppose the miracles and blessings of God upon His children and then replace them with sorrow, afflictions of sicknesses, diseases and poverty. The whole idea is to make believers to come to the conclusion that God does not care about what happens to them or does not even possess the power to deliver them. He wants them to seek for alternatives to God and that way, he will nail them and put paid to their eternity. These devices of the crafty are spiritual manipulations employed by the devil, his fal...
