THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL...THEME: THE LORD WILL SEPARATE YOU FROM DARKNESS

THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL...
DATE: Sunday September 10th, 2017.
TEXT: Genesis 1:2-3,

THEME: THE LORD WILL SEPARATE YOU FROM DARKNESS
MEMORIZE: "And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. " (Genesis 1:4)

MESSAGE:

Darkness represents the absence of light. It is used in both physical and figurative senses in both the Old and New Testaments. Spiritually, darkness can be explained in terms of opposition against God's programs or plans. For example, the darkness which covered the deep before God's creation of light symbolizes chaos in opposition to God's orderly creation. Darkness is not only associated with night alone, but also to situations and circumstances that are spiritually manipulated. In the period of spiritual darkness, nothing works except there is intervention by light. Darkness is a place for evil doers to hide, though they cannot hide from God.
As a believer in Christ. you are the light of God and the bible says that no one can hide light under a bushel or any kind of darkness. Remember, God had to separate light from the darkness. I do not know the darkness that is hovering over your life, but the same God who saw it expedient to separate light from the darkness is still alive. He still retains the capability to uproot any darkness hovering over or around your life. The darkness over you might be in the area of your marriage, business, career, job, academics, etc. There is no need to be frantic. You are the light of the world and cannot be hidden under a bushel. Therefore, God will separate you from the darkness. As the light shines in darkness and darkness comprehends it not, so shall you shine your way out of all your troubles. your persecutors stumble and fall and put to shame, you will be free from all the fiery darts of the devil.

Worship/praise God and then take the following prayer points:

1. Any darkness hovering over my life/destiny; be dispersed by the light of God.
2. Anything that represents darkness in my life; be dismantled by fire, in Jesus’ name.
3. Any darkness hiding the glory of God upon my life; scatter by fire, in Jesus’ name.
4. Any darkness programmed against the work of God in The Lord's Chosen ministry; be dispersed by fire, in Jesus’ name.
