THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL...

TEXT: Proverbs 3:5-10
THEME: LEAN NOT ON YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING
MEMORIZE: "For who hath known the mind of the Lord? Or who hath been his counsellor. "(Romans 11:34)
MESSAGE:
The problem with many people in this world is that they think they are wiser than God Almighty. It is absolute foolishness to think so. Such people believe in hypothesis of evolution and have hope in scientific or medical reports. Some may believe in diabolic means. God forbid! What a pitiable state to lean to your own understanding. Many have refused to accept the true gospel of the totality of the truth. They make arguments. We must understand that God Almighty is real and those who despise Him are putting themselves in danger of judgment. Learn from the mistakes others have made, and avoid same.
God is not a man; neither does he think as man does. He has no adviser or counsellor. He has already finished the program of the world right from the beginning. Through the bible, we see how the world began and what will become of the end of this world. So we must acknowledge and tremble before him. Do not take for granted His word or His servant so that you will be blessed in your endeavour. Wisdom demands that we fear the Lord and depart from evil. We should never make assumptions on the word of God. That will be very dangerous. So, let us involve the Lord in all that we do. Before going into any business venture, travelling, in marriage, family, among ourselves as believers, let us work together in the Lord. God seeks those that will worship Him in spirit and truth. We must be ready to empty our minds from self-gratification. If you purge yourself from self, you will be a vessel unto honour.
Worship/praise God and then take the following prayer points:
1. Father, purge me from self righteousness and justification; make me to be a vessel unto honour, in Jesus' name.
2. I pray for the spirit of sanctification to come upon my life in a great measure, in Jesus' name.
3. O Lord, give our G. O and Mummy in the Lord the wisdom, boldness and courage that their adversaries cannot gainsay, in Jesus' name.
