TEXT: Matthew 25:14-29

THEME: THE REWARDS OF FRUITFULNESS

MEMORIZE: “His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee a ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord” (Matthew 25:21)

MESSAGE:

Everybody has been given a special talent. Human beings were created in His image and have been commanded to have dominion. While talents and capacity may differ from person to person, the fact remains that everybody has a God given talent. We are expected to make use of that talent to the benefit of the kingdom of God and for His glory. Your talent may be that you are an orator, or you are a good singer. Some people have the gift of teaching while others are very creative and so on.

Whatever your talent maybe God expects you to use it and even multiply it. If you are a good speaker for example, what have you done with this gift? Have you used it to preach and win souls? You can even enhance your gift of speech by writing a book or giving lectures that will motivate many others. Some people have used their gift of speech to make millions by becoming motivational/public speakers. As a child of God and a Chosen you should have an even better testimony concerning God’s grace on your life.

In today’s reading the master was upset with the servant who did not make good use of his talent. This shows that just as there will be a reward for using and multiplying our talents there shall also be an equal punishment for those that don’t use their talents wisely. It is also not befitting for a child of God to use his talent in a way that will glorify the devil or his kingdom. For example many that have been blessed with good voices are using their gift to glorify the devil by singing worldly music. Are you using your gift to glorify the devil?

Moreover, we should note that there will be no excuse that will hold on the Day of Judgment as to why we didn’t use our talents wisely. 

 Determine therefore today to begin to use your talents for His glory

Worship/praise God and then take the following prayer points:

1. O God, help me to discover my talents and help me to start using them today for your glory in Jesus' name.

2. Any demonic agent that will hinder me using my talent for God’s glory should receive fire today in Jesus' name

3. Father, I thank you for the gifts of the spirit that you have deposited in our G.O and Mummy and pray that they shall be permanent in Jesus' name.

4. Dear Lord make the Chosen to be faithful till the end so we will receive our reward on the last day in Jesus' name.
