TEXT: 2 CHRONICLES 7:14

THEME: PRAYER WILL CAUSE AFFLICTION TO BE HEALED

MESSAGE: 
"13 Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing Psalms. 14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: 15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him " (James 5:13-15)

There is need for every believer to have faith in God and believe that no matter the situation he/she finds himself/herself in, God is there for them. Any believer who has not cultivated the habit of making recourse to God during tough periods cannot be said to be a true believer. Whenever tough situation comes up – sickness, poverty etc, we must seek His face through prayer because it is through prayer that we tell God our needs. It is by His power that we are healed. The doctors of the world hardly have any solution to incurables. They can administer drugs, but it is God that heals. Those that made recourse to God in their sickness and needs were healed, whereas those that sought for alternatives were disappointed, 2 Chronicles 16:12-13 records, "And Asa in the thirty and ninth year of his reign was diseased in his feet, until his disease was exceeding great: yet in his disease he sought not to the LORD, but to the physicians. 13 And Asa slept with his fathers, and died in the one and fortieth year of his reign."

King Asa's inability to make recourse to God even after his sickness had become much caused his death. You must therefore, put your faith in the power of God to heal you. The devil is always on the prowl seeking for whom he may devour. If you give him room to work on your psyche and give you the impression that your healing is somewhere else and you buy the idea, then he has succeeded. That will never be your portion.

Worship/praise God and then take the following prayer points:

1. O God my Heavenly Father, forgive me all my sins, in Jesus' name.

2. Any sickness projected into my body in my dreams be uprooted and be cast out, in Jesus' name.

3. Let the closed heavens against my testimony open, in Jesus' name.

4. Let God pour out all-round blessings upon our G. O, our mummy and their children, in Jesus' name.
