THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL...

TEXT: Genesis 17:19, Galatians 4:28

THEME: GOD RESPECTS COVENANTS

MESSAGE: 
“And the LORD visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did unto Sarah as he had spoken.” (Genesis 21:1)

God made a covenant with Abraham in which He swore saying, “In blessing, I will bless thee.” He had already assured Abraham that through him shall all the nations of the earth be blessed. In that covenant, Abraham was assured that he would be the father of all nations. Time kept ticking. The man was getting old; same with his wife Sarah. Yet, there was no cry of a baby. But the man kept faith with God and God did it when human power had deserted him; when Sarah’s natural female cycle had ended. The bible states that the Lord visited Sarah ‘as He had said.’

God’s words are consistent. He is a covenant keeper. His words are not like the words of man. Whatever he says He will do, He is always very careful to observe and to do them. He did to Sarah as He had said. Sarah had died long ago, but we use her case and those of many others to establish that God is always very faithful to perform His words. This faithfulness confirms His unchanging nature.

What are those things that He had said He will do in your own life? Remember, He is impartial; He is unchangeable and so, will do it in your own life because we are the children of promise. Wait patiently for God never fails.

Worship/praise God and then take the following prayer points:
1. Any power from my father’s house, mother’s house or in-laws’ house working against the program of God for my life, receive destruction by fire, in Jesus name.

2. Any spirit of delay working against God’s visitation upon my life, be consumed by fire. O thou that visited Sarah at the appointed time, behold thy handmaid/servant. Let there be divine visitation upon my life, in Jesus’ name.

3. Any spiritual traffic jam programmed against the accomplishment of the three-fold vision and ten billion soul mandate; be dismantled, in Jesus name.

4. Any power working to frustrate God’s program for our G. O, our mummy in the Lord and their children; the Lord rebuke you, in Jesus name.
