COMBINED SUNDAY SERVICE MESSAGE.

DATE: SUNDAY, 13TH MARCH, 2016.

PREACHER: PASTOR LAZARUS MUOKA

TEXT: Isaiah 69:1; Isaiah 41:9-14; 1 Peter 2:9-10

TOPIC: THE SEED WHICH THE LORD HAS BLESSED

MESSAGE:
Every Chosen should know that he/she is privileged to be a Chosen, the reason being that many are called but few are Chosen. There are churches everywhere but we are a church specially Chosen by God. (Matthew 20:16).
Chosen people are a privileged people. To be among the Chosen by the Lord is a blessing and because of that we must be at the marriage supper of the lamb. (Revelation 19:9). We all should know that our salvation and righteousness are not by works or by our power; it is the gift of God and by His grace (Ephesians 2:8-9; Zechariah 4:6). Whatever we are and what we are yet to be is by the spirit of God.
Everyone should know this knowledge in order to appreciate what God has made us, we should see it as a privilege and also consider it a blessing for us to be CHOSEN. Once we know what we have and the value, we cannot misuse it and avoid anything that would move us from the privilege and blessings.

For better understanding of this message, we shall consider the following sub-headings:

1. THE REASONS AND COUNSEL
When you do not know what you have or who is in you, you would be careless or mortgage such position for nothing and lose it. The reasons abandoning these is as a result of lack of knowledge. (Hosea 4:6). We should know whom we are, what we have and the value of that which we have (Daniel 11:32b). With these knowledge, we can never lose what we have. We should endeavour to have this knowledge. (Matthew 20:16, John 6:66-70). We should know that God who has Chosen us is the only one who determines who goes to heaven and who goes to hell fire. Also, the only one who has power to justify, make one holy and righteous is GOD. (Romans 9:10-16). God has power to do what He wishes (Philippians 2:13). It is a privilege that He has made us a choice of His and it is a blessing. (Isaiah 48:10-11). You are a seed which the Lord has blessed; We are the CHOICE of God. No matter what one does by his power if you are not Chosen, you cannot fit in because by strength shall no man prevail. (1 Samuel 2:9, John 15:5.
Therefore, like the Apostle Paul, we should endeavour not to lose this privilege and make sure nothing takes us away from it.(Romans 8:35-39; 1 Corinthians 15:10; Philippians 4:13; John 6:67-69). We should not allow a situation make us be like Esau who didn't know his birthright (Hebrews 12:16-17).

EVIDENCES OF OUR BLESSINGS, OUR RESPONSE AND Benefits.
(Num 23:19-20). Once God has Chosen us, it is a blessings above all blessings (John 15:16). It is the Choice of God. As far as we are the Chosen people, we are the seed that God has blessed. (1 Peter 2:9-10, Isaiah 41:9-14). CHOSEN IS BLESSED. Chosen people are blessed both spiritually, physically, materially, academically and otherwise.) Deuteronomy 28:2,8-13). God has blessed us in all things as He blessed our father of faith- Abraham.
(Acts 14:22). No matter the experiences we've passed through, it doesn't change whom we are nor remove the blessings of God (2 Timothy 3:10-12) because we are the seed which God has blessed. Remember whom you are and do not be like Esau at all. We should serve God, preach in season and out of season, live a life that would provoke people to repentance and righteousness.

CONCLUSION:
For those not yet born again and backsliders, they should repent, give their lives to Jesus Christ and accept Him as their Lord and personal Saviour for them to receive the blessings for the chosen seed. (1 John 3:8-9, 5:17a; John 1:29; John 14:).
