THEME: EVANGELISTS EMPOWERED FOR SIGNS & WONDERS
TEXT: Mark 16:15-18
15. And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
16. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
17. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18. They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
MEMORY VERSE: There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one. Acts 5:16
MESSAGE:
Every child of God that preaches the gospel is an evangelist. Evangelical ministry is a ministry that is given to everybody. Everybody might not be a Pastor, prophet, teacher or apostle but everyone is called to the office of an evangelist. And it is the ministry that moves the hand of God because it searches for souls and brings them to Christ. And once you are an evangelist, God has empowered you for exploit. Signs and wonders accompany anyone that is a true evangelist.
Today's text enumerates the signs and wonders that follow an evangelist. Therefore there is no special power anywhere. If you want power as a Christian, what you need to do is to do the work of an evangelist, preach the gospel always and you will be empowered Every other thing you need as a Christian is hinged on preaching the word of God. Moreover, you become a terror to the devil and his kingdom through preaching the word of God. Remember also that our vision and mandate are dependent on preaching the word. So, through today's devotional be encouraged to go out and preach the word of God everywhere so that we can depopulate the kingdom of darkness and increase the kingdom of Christ our Saviour.
Note: If you claim to be Chosen and you are not preaching the word of God, then you are not a true Chosen. Chosen people are known to be preaching anywhere they are. One of the major things that makes chosen to stand out, is evangelism and every true Chosen must abide by this
PRAYER POINTS:
Pray for hunger to preach the word of God.
Pray that as you preach the word of God, signs and wonders will follow you.
AMEND YOUR WAYS: If you are not born again you must do something as a matter of urgency. He that commits sin is of the devil (1 John 3:8). If you are into lying, cheating, bitterness, keeping malice, pride, manifesting anger, quarreling, unforgiveness, hatred, envy, contention, strife, gossiping, taking or giving bribe, selfishness, kidnapping. If you are into masturbation, fornication, adultery, prostitution, abortion, lesbianism, homosexuality, you need to repent. Are you into idolatry, do you make or use charms, rituals, bow down to images, Are you into occultism? Do you smoke cigarette, cocaine, heroine? Are you lusting, covetous, alcohol drinking, divorcee or into worldliness?, you must stop bleaching your body, or painting your lips, eyes, fixing attachments, weave-on, earrings (Gen 35:2-4) Are you one of those that put on nude dresses, short skirts, transparent dresses to seduce (A seducer is not a Christian) do you wear trouser as a woman? Repent and give your life to Jesus Christ.
LET'S PRAY: If you want to give your life to JESUS pray this short prayer with me: Almighty God, I come unto you in the name of Jesus. Father I confess that I am a sinner. All my sins I confess to you. I am very sorry for all my sins. Lord I promise you that from today I will never continue in them anymore. I believe that Jesus Christ died and rose again on the third day for my justification. Almighty God, use the blood of Jesus to wash my sins away. Lord Jesus, come into my heart, be my Lord and Personal Savior. I surrender my life to you. Cancel my name from the book of death and give me grace to make Heaven. AMEN!
