THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL…

TEXT: Deuteronomy 28:13

THEME: YOU SHALL BE PREFERRED ABOVE OTHERS

MEMORISE: Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm. (Daniel 6:3)

MESSAGE: 

The underlining word in the above scripture is PREFERRED; which means there were many other options, but Daniel was preferred above others. It is certain that those competing or being compared with Daniel had everything that he had. Maybe they all possessed the same level of intelligence, aura, charisma, comportment, commitment, etc. But somehow, Daniel remained the preferred option. Impliedly, there was something that Daniel had which others did not have. And what could that be? 

He had an excellent spirit! The anointing power of God had conferred upon Daniel an excellent spirit which ultimately gave him an edge over the other candidates. With that edge, he possessed deeper spiritual insight than the others.

Daniel was a genuine child of God who wouldn't compromise his faith for the attractions and seductions found in the Babylon of his time. Even when there was a decree barring prayer in the whole provinces of Babylon, he would have none of it as he maintained a regular prayer program. So, if you are to be preferred above others, you must rise above board. An excellent spirit must be found in you like it was found in Daniel.

 You must not be a Christian with double identity who is ready and willing to dump/compromise his faith because of worldly attractions. Are you slated for a selection to be favoured, blessed and promoted? By God's excellent spirit upon you as a Chosen, you will be the preferred option. 

Those in charge will set you over the whole realm. All those that come with connections, letters from ministers, governors, those from the presidency and local government chairmen, will not see your back because God has deposited something in you that will pave the way for you.

Worship/praise God and then take the following prayer points:

1. By the power and authority in the name of Jesus Christ, I ask for God's excellent spirit to come upon my life, in Jesus' name.

2. I decree that I will be preferred above other options, in Jesus' name.

3. I decree divine wisdom, knowledge and understanding of deep spiritual matters upon our G. O and Mummy in the Lord, in Jesus' name.
